I know everyone has their wish list of what they want, but I'm just happy to see Joe's in 2020

The Retro line was pretty much what I thought it would be. I pre order Snake Eyes but I'm still not sure I won't cancel it. I only really wanted Baroness. Now seeing them in store I admittedly will be like that's mine, your coming home with me and I need two of you so I can have one to open. I don't know why they chose the figures they chose but I don't see why the card back wasn't 100% correct. I see no reason why the white boarder wasn't added and they could have left the colored spots behind the figures and accessories like on the original figures. And to differentiate between the 25th and Retro line they could have left that crowded mess of a file card and just put another picture of the character in a action pose along with the cross cell or whatever you call it. |

I’m not a carded guy, I always open and play, but since I have a lot of these figures in multiples and I really like the cards, I will be a MOC guy (minus the club figures I haven’t gotten around to opening yet...plus for some reason I can’t bring myself to open the SDCC Jinx...)
They would be really dumb not to put out a retro sky striker in original deco or even night boomer decoy. They would print money due to the peeps who like the MIB guys and the people who just want more original deco skystrikers now that the 30ths are getting into high prices. I have a total of 8 various strikers between the 2 retail versions and the convention versions, but I wouldn’t kick another 2 out of bed...one to open and one for box display. |

im honestly happy for all the people that wanted 50th or 25th anniversay figures but I wont be buying them. I never liked the way those figures looked even when the 25th was released in 2007 Ill stick to vintage or buy once they ever decide to release O-ring figures. in the meantime enjoy your brand new figures guys!!!
These are really good ME figures. They worth getting if you do not have them. But most collecting from 2008 probably have these. They where not difficult to find and available multiple times. I would have bought these, just for the art on the cardbacks. But 2 problems for me. The figures do not match the artwork. The photo reprints are for different versions. Secondly, my experience with Walmart shipping has always been bad. The packaging is jacked up. Everything from bent/cut/folded or crushed. I stick to Amazon and bbts because of this. Pass for me as well. Maybe the next wave will be better Last edited by stillagijoefan; 07-18-2020 at 11:38 PM.. |

Not sure what they'd do for cobra except if the hiss tanks from SDCC are indicators then it appears the rattler mold is still around.

Did they say when these are supposed to come out? I'm pumped about Crankcase and the new paint apps on Baroness!

There are two people I can think of that produce O-ring figures with relative ease. So I don't believe making them is an issue.
I believe time was more an issue, and its more of a case of a new brand manager and design team looking for a quick win so they can get their budget increased in the next fiscal year. This was painless, quick, and got product out without the need of producing new molds. In order to get the quick win though you sacrifce the quality of well designed lined. If they were able to add another year these might of been closer to the original O-rings. HISS Driver head & torso Crankcase head & helmet Quote:

Plus 25th Wild Weasel was just a repaint of Snow Job with a new head. It would be nice if they made one more like the original. In fact there were many 25th figures like WW who I would like to be closer to their original o-ring selves.

Remember, the character choices were made to capitalize on the new Snake Eyes movie, which I can’t even see being released in theaters this year.
And as for vehicles, just check the classified poster. Some choices on there, like that blue Firebat repaint from ROC are too obscure to be a coincidence. |

Convert the Skystriker so it is a 2-seater again You could technically make these from the SDCC Jetfire and the Gi Joe Club Battle Force 2000 versions if you own them. I'd also want the original 12 (or 13 if you include Shooter) utilizing the Double Clutch (2008 v3) body. The boots match the figures except for Snake-Eyes....We never got true ME versions of the original o-ring figures. To this day, I dislike the 25th Anniversary versions of Flash and Grandslam. Trip-Wire too. |

well they did produce new molds
HISS Driver head & torso Crankcase head & helmet That is a sound idea because I do need another HISS driver to go with my 25th tank. Plus I bet many people would love to update their Crankcase. An Ace that looks like he jumped out of a Sunbow cartoon would be awesome! Plus 25th Wild Weasel was just a repaint of Snow Job with a new head. It would be nice if they made one more like the original. In fact there were many 25th figures like WW who I would like to be closer to their original o-ring selves. That crankcase head is from the collectors club topside figure... |
