Yeah just looking at customs people have done, there are a ton that are great classic Duke updates using POC/30th parts (one of which we'll probably see in Retro), but I don't see any truly accurate Scarlett customs.
Is it possible we get some new tooling done up for Scarlett? Crank case got a new head. In 50th we got the occasional new sculpt (Gung Ho, Destro) http://www.hisstank.com/forum/g-i-jo...h-axonrey.html

I am very excited by the idea of this. Modern sculpts in ARAH designs was my ideal and that's basically what we got.
I'm really confused why they didn't use the V1 head for Snake Eyes or at least include it. I mean, the 50th/PoC version had both heads, why not this version? They really should have used Ultimate Storm Shadow. The 50th version is just so blah. Baroness needed a new head badly. And why not use the SDCC head if you are going to use an old one? That said, a new paint job on this head should improve it dramatically over the 50th release (even the original release of this mold looks decent because of the better paint apps). If they release PoC Cobra Troopers, a retooled Scarlett, a retooled Duke, and the Ultimate Cobra Commander, I will be absolutely thrilled. Still, YoJoe! What a great time to be a fan. So much product.

And if you're a MOC collector it is a complete crapshoot as to whether they will give any care to the condition of the item's packaging in transit. Though they usually lean towards "nope, LOL it's just a toy who cares if the package is messed up?" (Seriously, I've seen single-card figures in an oversized box with no "stuffing" though only once or twice). We've also gotten figures in bubble wrap envelopes. So basically, if you're OK with random pending charges, uncertain ship dates, and are an "opener" then...fire away! Of course...you can't get those Wal-Mart exclusives at retail without going through them so...how bad do you want it? |

It is very easy to get what you want. Just do what I did. Find the originals in good condition even if it means buying multiple figures to take apart and make one perfect figure. If you want them MOC, easy as well. Purchase a Repro kit and some double sided tape and there you go. It’s not that hard!

Nice to see gijoe available again at retail. But nothing here for me. Already have this initial wave. Gratz to whoever needs to fill holes in their collection Last edited by stillagijoefan; 07-17-2020 at 01:28 PM.. |

I love that these are coming out and while I agree the head sculpts should match the card art, I hate that the box art for the vehicles have been altered to match the modern Driver figure included. Why not just go with the 25th anniversary HISS driver, which had a modern sculpt of the original looking helmet/visor and then the box art wouldn’t have been needed to be altered?

So Walmart seems to have gone with the modern era instead of the o-ring line of GIJOES.To be honest the artwork and vehicles look way better than the figures look in general. That's just my opinion. A month or so ago I mentioned to some fellow collectors when I posted the retro line release, they may be Jazware type or Star Wars VC style and I was right,it went in the modern style.Kind of disappointed as a majority of us were hoping for another run of 80's nostalgia.
