Furthermore to this - I'm not sure I even understand why you would make a line exclusive to one retailer anyway, especially when that retailer has a history of maybe not doing the greatest job (according to some comments on here).

It looks like Walmart paid a bunch of money to Hasbro for exclusives to launch some collector thing on their website. I hate exclusives. Hate them. Just put everything on Pulse.

I generally do too, but it doesn't bother me as much when it's a retailer like WM that's literally everywhere, as opposed to the TRU exclusives back in the day... which meant a 1.5 hour drive, to ultimately come back empty handed and having to pay a scummy scalper.

I have four Wal-Marts within 15-20 minutes of me. Generally speaking, I'm having a good year if I ever even SEE 1/4 of the Wal-Mart exclusives for Star Wars, Marvel, Transformers, or other collector-favored brands, much less buy any of them. |

My problem with exclusives is giving them to Walmart rather than someone else who will handle them a lot better and get them to people's hands in undamaged. If Hasbro must do exclusives, do it on Hasbro Pulse as you said, or even Big Bad Toy Store or another company with a better reputation.

See, you say that, but the problem for a lot of people is that they might have 10 Wal-Marts within a half-hour of them and none of them will have, or in some cases ever even get the exclusives. Wal-Mart generally underorders and then has ridiculously poor distribution on their exclusives.

To add to that, I am totally willing to help people get them that otherwise can't, provided the above holds true this time around. Last edited by Sataninjaku; 07-13-2020 at 04:58 PM.. |

I’m considering ordering 3 of every figure and returning the worst two, hoping to score at least one MOC.

Regarding Walmart, I recently saw a video of Pixel Dan about Walmart's handling of his pre-ordered toys. I've seen the same complaints from other toy collectors, and this is very concerning. I do wish toy companies like Hasbro or Mattel would address this issue with Walmart before they do any more Walmart exclusives. I'm looking forward to the GI Joe retro line, but if this is how they treat shipping of toys I would rather just not buy at all rather than buy and get it damaged.
Here is Pixel Dan's video if anyone is interested: Giving them multiple collector exclusives is just a bad idea. |

I'm hoping there's enough of these to be in store and not just online. At least there's a chance I can get one that hasn't been trampled by a bear.
