At first I thought it was referencing my PC clock (I live in a very different time zone) but it doesn't match with my 10am either. Matches 7am on Friday on my time zone. |

They did that already, it was called 25th anniversary and according to retailers, it didn’t do so well. If it’s truly “retro” they will go back to their roots which are the o rings. Hopefully this time they recreate the Nostalgic molds for 85 snake eyes, 83 cobra commander, 83 Destro, Flash/Grand Slam, Etc..,

They basically can recreate the same torsos without the o-rings, they would just switch to regular socket joint found in most modern figures now.

It seems odd and counter to the point to create new tools in outdated aesthetic, thereby saving no money and not actually producing retro designs simultaneously. I can’t rationalize that route being likely

I agree with you Steevy. I'm reaching out a little bit too far with that one. I'm guessing the smaller playsets and vehicles would be more realistic. The initial Walmart website reveal did say HISS Tank and an AWE Striker. So hopefully this run is successful enough to justify more and larger playsets and vehicles.

Regarding Walmart, I recently saw a video of Pixel Dan about Walmart's handling of his pre-ordered toys. I've seen the same complaints from other toy collectors, and this is very concerning. I do wish toy companies like Hasbro or Mattel would address this issue with Walmart before they do any more Walmart exclusives. I'm looking forward to the GI Joe retro line, but if this is how they treat shipping of toys I would rather just not buy at all rather than buy and get it damaged.
Here is Pixel Dan's video if anyone is interested: |

MIB is always dangerous when using Walmart or Amazon. Neither are good about caring what condition packaging is in.
Now Walmart is supposedly going to be more conscious about the collector market, but we'll see how that goes. I am, however, shocked that Pixel Dan was critical about anything. Years of his sycophantic interviews with Mattel and Super7 about MOTUC have left me really disliking that gentleman.
