Close out the week with the first Contractor that I just painted. Remember thinking this version of Grunt was so bad growing up but because of the one Get Tough episode I always used him. Plus he was another original guy that I really didn’t get to mess with growing up so I just loved having a version of Grunt.
Simple Marauder Contractor build with the pants given a “spice” and orange paint job. Color actually came out pretty fun so I’m enjoying this goofy version of Grunt being in the modern collection. I want to wait to see what else Marauder John does with button shirts and then I may switch out his tee, but for now he looks pretty good with my batch of Get Tough Joes. Grunt v3

I don’t know why, but I always kinda liked that Grunt from ‘91. Nice homage. I think I’d use the black haired ‘Hank’ head, since he has a flat-top haircut though... Just a thought.

That’s how I pictured a modern version of Grunt. Great job

Thanks!

I was thinking that head more for the face but completely forgot it also has a bit of a flat top! Great idea, probably add one to a Marauder order when the new stuff comes in. Think I had one of the British heads whose hair I painted at first but then didn’t want the paint to rub off since he’d usually be wearing his helmet. Thanks! Such an easy build but really becomes Grunt once you add the helmet and paint the pants up. Quote:
Ultimately I think he’ll probably get a rolled up sleeve brown button shirt, want to see if Marauder John surprises us with new colors when that preorder stuff is in before I paint one though. Plus I don’t have a rolled sleeve button up to paint right now anyway. Do like the tee shirt look and how this custom looks as is so we’ll see if I switch him. Probably more likely if a brown button up is made than if I have to paint one.

Multiple projects in progress, go the easy route, post more Battlecorps! Haha.
Between the cartoon & the movie, I absolutely loved Beachhead growing up but he was another figure that never got passed down to me as a kid. So like a lot of the main Toon cast, Beachhead was another who was on the sidelines for me until Battlecorps came out. Unlike guys like BC Leatherneck who I didn’t care for until I got older, Beachhead I loved right out of the gate. Another Marauder build with no paint who I tweak every so often. Keep doing him with no paint because the Marauder parts seem to fit this version pretty well with the colors Marauder John gave to us. Battlecorps Beachhead

Beachhead looks good, but does he have a severely broken arm and wrist, as his forearm is completely twisted in the wrong direction? Or is he a contortionist, who can just move his arm in any direction that he needs it to? All joking aside, a solid build of that version of BH!

Thanks! That color is so unique on the shelf that I’m loving how he came out. Never can have too many Grunt’s on the shelf.

-Todd Shakka85 Thanks! Fun to have all these Battlecorps guys since I never really thought I’d have any of these late era guys when 25th anniversary started.
