I care about the weapons because I’m keeping them CARDED—I want to enjoy the original card art and original figure/accessories within, if o-ring. If modern, I’ll only buy if it’s new offerings, and I will open them.

I know it's hisstank, but holy hell the overreactions this week are nuts. There's no indication they won't have guns. They're f'ing soldiers. And every promotional photo of every product in the world says that the final version may differ slightly.

My prediction, they are not o ring. 5 poa like the super 7 retro figures. Those seem to sell and I don't have much faith in Hasbro.

In order to understand the changes they made with regard to guns, the key phrase to keep in mind is "reproducible violence"...
So while bombs and scythes are capable of great violence, they're not readily available. Kids don't have access to those things to the same extent as windows or guns (the US has more guns than people!) and that ability to reproduce the violence they see is the key to the decisions they make. There is simply no real-life evidence out there to suggest that kids commit shootings or stabbings because they see someone do it on TV and then copy them. Sounds good when you make a morally righteous stink about it and claim it's a crisis. But it simply doesn't happen and just isn't true. It is simply the poppycock these con artists who don't understand nor care about children WHATSOEVER put out there to make money while destroying good, old-fashioned children's entertainment. These absurd censorship campaigns also completely ignore the reality that kids don't JUST watch "children's entertainment." Every kid I grew up with watched all the Rambo, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Friday the 13th movies they could find. Oh, but, I guess Friday the 13th was wholesome family entertainment because Jason chopped people up rather than used a gun. As far as kids having widespread "access" to guns in the U.S.A., that is the stupidest thing I have heard in a long time. Almost no kid in the U.S.A. has easy access to a gun. They definitely do have FAR more access to stabbing weapons. And if you think ANYONE who wants to shoot or stab someone is only going to do it if he can find the identical shape of a gun or stabbing weapon that he saw on TV, you have got to be smoking something. Study a bit of kids' entertainment history and you'll find that these "advisory" boards on content for kids are absolute sheisters who just make complete garbage up based on naked assumptions that "sound good" with zero scientific evidence to back it up while they collect the paycheck. It's been true since the censorship of Seduction of the Innocent on comic books in the '50s, to the groups that dumbed down kids' cartoons in the late '80s and to these anti-violence groups today. Common sense trumps the made-up horse manure these witch-hunting groups always come up with.

I would like to see a 30th/Poc/50th parts Duke, Roadblock, Breaker, Scarlett, Rock & Roll, Quick Kick, Flint, Dial Tone, Mainframe, Falcon, Copperhead, Scrap Iron, Dr Mindbender, among others. All in Modern representations of their 80s figures on ARAH/25th style cardbacks. Not really wanting o ring Joes. They probably wont be as good as the original figures.
