Holy shiite! I never won anything cool like this before! Especially with everyone's amazingly awesome customs, I think I'm still in a little bit of shock. Well job to everyone, You all really brought your A game and made some sweet customs! And of coarse thanks to Slice for putting on this contest and also supplying a great prize.

Also Germ, the camouflage gets noticed instantly, but it’s the solid blocks of color in just the right places that ground the eye, bring out details, and tie in perfectly with the camo. The figure looks really balanced visually. I also personally like the scuffs on the knee pads.

For this contest, I figured I'd try something new and make a figure that hasn't been made by customizers in modern parts yet. (Or at least I have never seen one made before.) This is based off of the 1992 12" figure - Desert Storm Duke. See link
https://www.yojoe.com/12inch/92/duke2.shtml It's also SORT OF based off of the 1993 V.4 o-ring Duke. More so the card art, if you scroll down farther in the link you can see it https://www.yojoe.com/action/93/duke4.shtml So I made sure to give him goggles like the o-ring figure had on his helmet. I also gave him dog tags cus the 12 inch figure came with 'em plus around this time they started giving him dog tags in the comics (on version 4 duke.) I also gave him a radio and knee pads just to make him a little more modern. [/QUOTE]

Great job putting this together, Slice! And awesome job to all of the customizers who participated!
zpartikuz- I always like the gray haired Doc look and this is about as good as it gets! Great update! Love the build and paint job! Ax- Great job on Budo! You have a skill for taking parts from multiple figures and combining them into something that works great, could have used you on some of those Club Frankenjoes! As always, awesome paint job! Germ- I always loved Battlecorps Duke so seeing a true desert storm version is amazing! Love everything about this from the build to the epic paint job! Also incredible pictures! Congrats on the Blizzard! ARBCO- i always want to make an Ultimate Scarlett and you just dropped the perfect blueprint! Love how she came out. Todd - love the paint job and the use of Marauder accessories on that build. He came out really great! Oz. - way to take us home with a classic! Great color on the jacket and excellent camo on the hat.

Of course, that’s my go-to unmasked SE head... ;) Neck looks a bit high, here, but looks fine with the harness in place. Do I have that right, or do you think the neck could stand to be lowered? Also—are those modded Major Bludd dog tags? That’s what I’ve done before, but I think I scored an actual cast pair somewhere else before, but can’t remember where.

Yeah I guess the neck could be ever so slightly high but its not noticeable at all once the web gear is on. I don't think hes neck looks that bad at all but I guess it's all subjective. And yes those are Bludd's tags, I just cut and altered them.

Ozzie - cool that you pulled it off despite setbacks. Really solid custom with great pats choices. So what’s the rest of the story? Did parts arrive after all, or did you have to completely change directions? Sometimes a tight spot drives new creativity you don’t expect. I’d love to know what happened.
