Sorry, these Lampreys might be my favorite Club figures so I want to keep them together. Don’t know what it is about them but they’re the Club figures that I like messing with & taking pictures of the most. Haha, thanks! Love when the designs are fairly straightforward! Really cool to see both versions of this wet-suit together. Then Dial-Tone was a fun one to piece together, think we had him growing up but not positive. Want to say we did but couldn’t find him for the Past & Present pics so I might have just always used the original since he actually made it to me in one piece. Thanks! Love taking the fun pictures, building & painting the customs is fun but gives it a little something extra if you can mess with them a bit before they take their spots just standing on a shelf. Plus it gets figures & vehicles off the shelves which you might not typically appreciate as much. First time I messed with a Snarler in a while so that was a good time, have to do some sidecar shots with it too now.

Have you ever considered doing a running story with your action shots? There have been a few stories by other tankers posted and it’s always a good time. I’d definitely follow one with your custom builds.

———————— Up next for the Super Sonic Fighters is another who I had built for a while but made some new touches to finish gearing up. He’s one that I may add paint to down the road & maybe a new head. But this is how he’s basically looked for a while now so I figured I’d get some shots up. Super Sonic Fighter Rock n Roll. Loved this figure growing up, the original never made it to me' and for whatever reason I skipped the Get Tough version so this was really my first attachment to Rock n Roll until the Star Brigade version hit. The NES game is my favorite so no idea why I didn’t pick up that version. Must have been a combination of money being tight and so many guys hitting that I wanted so he just fell through the cracks. This one more than made up for that decision thought because I thought he was awesome! A quick and easy Marauder build with a Hasbro head. Another that is probably pretty similar to what others have done for him but it just works. I’ve experimented with different heads and hats so maybe down the road I’ll switch him up a bit and maybe paint the boots a lighter brown but this is how he’s been on my shelf for years now. Super Sonic Fighter Rock n Roll:

Hmmm. Shot a missile, down to two left.
When did the IMP reload since he has three missiles again? 🤔

Either it’s like the cartoon and things auto-reload or you caught me taking pics out of order. Haha. Originally forgot to take a shot of the missile launch so I broke things by circling back. Almost had RnR’s hat flipping between on & off during the fight but I caught myself.

Haha, I won’t have any figures on my shelves if we institute that rule!
Thanks! Not sure how early of a build he was for me, I know I’ve had him for a while though, maybe right when the orange pieces came out and I grabbed an extra 25th Rock n Roll for the head. He’s one of the guys we got lucky with in that I like the Hasbro & Club offerings that we got.

RnR looks great! His head looks a bit small, however

Thanks! Really like this version of the character. Yeah, on the shelf he looks good most of the time but it’s something that I definitely kick around changing. Was thinking the one Dime Novel head with maybe a WW2 hat painted orange. That would scale the head more with a MTF body. Just really like the 25th head sculpt as RnR though, they did a good job on that one, would be great if it was upscaled a bit. Also keep thinking about painting the straps completely orange. Just left him how he’s been on my shelf for now though.
Thanks for the suggestion, pretty happy with all of the figures I post but never hurts to hear ideas that could improve them. Gives me something to think about down the road. ——————- Up next is Super Sonic Fighter Pysche-Out. This is one that I completely missed out on growing up because I wasn’t the biggest Pysche-Out fan but seeing this one with all of his gear changed my mind on him. Ended up picking up a carded Funskool one so I had his accessories and it definitely turned me into a fan. Once I did that, I knew I had to have him in the modern collection. Another easy build, just the Marauder light blue guy who I added some black, chrome & blue paint apps to. At some point I’ll probably do something for the dishes on his chest and after looking at the animated cell again, probably paint the eye piece red. Good to get pictures taken so some of those easy changes pop out to me. Super Sonic Fighter Pysche-Out And just because it’s the only Joe animation cell I own, here’s custom Pysche-Out with his Toon version.
