I'm really looking forward for this line...

Hasbro's done a good job sealing leaks over the years. The brand's low point in popularity might also help with that.
But more importantly, these probably aren't slated until the fall to begin with. I expect marketing for Snake Eyes and Joe march in general to start picking up around August and September, so there isn't much a point in announcing that sort of product this far out. Again, were it not for people digging in Walmart's system, we wouldn't even know of these until later this summer. I miss your manly facts. |

I'm getting cautiously optimistic that I will like this forthcoming ARAH retro line.
Re: the choices for these retro figures, I hope it's not just the early 1982 figures - that would be boring. I would like to see a good mixture of the 1982-1989 figures - both Joe & Cobra characters - with some later figures thrown in. Though I stopped originally collecting the line in 1987, I remember seeing some of the more interesting '88/'89 figures in stores & now I regret not getting them. |

My money is on '85 Snake Eyes for the SE spot. All new tooling would show effort in the line. But I don't see many others post-'84 just because for the core characters, the MOST iconic versions are from '82-'84. Thought if my hypothesis is correct, and they still have (only) the tooling they used from 2004-2010, the Destro spot could be the '88.

I wish the 86 - 89 figures would get remade first in retro. The 82 - 85 figures have been beat to death in re releases, and most of the neon brigade simply sucks. I want to see figures like Beach Head, Repeater, Outback, Hydro Vipers, Recoil, Muskrat, Dial Tone, and so many more.
We have too many Dukes, Too many SE, and too many 82 -85 characters in general. Sure there are some I want, like maybe a a retro collection Lady Jaye in the way she appeared in Sunbow. Or even another Cover Girl, but for the most part I think we get those characters way too much. |
