Was watching a youtuber. I dont know the name, just a random guy I picked.
Anyways, the said another Joe movie was comming after the Snake Eyes Origin Film. Supposed to be a reboot of G.I. Joe. If so, I hope it has CC in his hood, and more related to the comic series. Just wondering if anyone else heard about it. He also mentioned 3 more transformer movies. One is animated, takes place on Cybertron during the war. |

Yes, the Joe movie after Snake Eyes has been mentioned. Heard it was supposed to be a large ensemble. I'm hoping it's awesome!

In terms of the Transformers films, the first one up will be the animated prequel and Hasbro's already pushing a 2022 release on social media.
They are currently shopping two projects after that. One is a direct sequel to Bumblebee and the other is a script inspired by Beast Wars. Both are probably some years away at this point.

FYI the following quote was posted in a different thread, but my response makes more sense here, imo.

Boom. Mind blown.

They do this and GI Joe will never be seen again. This is a kids show not Full Metal Jacket Redux.

Not if the movie is set in the 1980s. Imagine "Mad Men", only 20 years later, and in the armed forces instead of advertising. The film could still contain all the traditional action elements, only with a comedic twist. Modern audiences would be both amused and horrified by how out of touch society was back then (the rampant sexism/racism/militarism/nationalism/colonialism/capitalism/xenophobia-ism/etc). Plus there are the eerie parallels to America's current political/social climate. Boom. Mind blown.

I just hope the new GI JOE movies aren't stupid silly like the last two or any of the Transformers movies I've seen. So far, I like what I am seeing/hearing regarding the Snake Eyes movie.

"G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra" = Tomatometer 34%, audience score 50% "G.I. Joe: Retaliation" = Tomatometer 28%, audience score 48% Just sayin'... In all seriousness, I really need to clarify. I was in NO WAY suggesting the movie should focus on that series of systemic "isms"*. In fact, imo, it would be a very bad idea for the movie to take any political position at all. I was simply saying it's often easier for audiences to accept complicated subject matter (in this case, war-related themes) from the safe distance of a "historical perspective". I mentioned "Mad Men" earlier, but two other excellent examples would be the 2nd season of "Fargo" (2015) and the 2018 film "BlacKkKlansman", both set in the 1970s. * Which continue to plague the country.
