That is a huge amount of weight. That machine is the one you can load the most amount of weight on because you don't have to engage your core or worry about stability.
I stopped using that machine because I felt I got more of a workout from loading and unloading the damn thing. I started doing bulgarian split squats. They are tough at first due to having to learn the movement and balance. They are great because they work each leg individualy and help correct any muscle imbalance. They also hit the glutes. The leg press doesn't all that well. Once you got these down start holding dumbells and do them weighted. I am getting close to 100lb in each hand, but I have to use straps. I started getting really sculpted quads after adding this to my leg day.

If you start locking your knees out during the movement you will f' up your knees in the long run. It should be a fluid motion. I always see people lock out their knees to get an extra rep or 2.

Bro do them. I felt like a ***** at fist because I couldn't balance myself and used no weight. I am so glad I kept with it. Takes a couple workouts to get it down, but once you start adding weight you will see results. I dare say they are more effective than squats. I even got a couple quad veins popping out after about 1 month of doing them.
