I'd say skip the "Frontline" 4-parter, as it's no longer in continuity.
Only DDP series that you may want to squeeze in, at this time, is "GI Joe: Declassified". Hama recently confirmed that it's in continuity. It doesn't really play a part in the main series until issue 229 or so. I'd say either cover "Declassified" now, or right before issue 229. The DDP Storm Shadow series? I know it has Pale Peony, but I haven't read the later issues, so I can't say whether or not the series has any overall contradictions.

Anybody read the treasury edition of issue 1? Pretty cool, but mine is yellowed, wonder if that’s common for that one.

I agree that Declassified should be discussed at some point. I've never read Frontline but just found it on that Facebook page that has scans of every Joe comic. I'll check it out. Love Dan Jurgens so I'm excited to read it.

I love Declassified, I think it makes sense to continue with Hama’s runs.

I thought that anything Hama wrote is in continuity?

Well, at this point, it's probably just the stuff he remembers...
The Devil's Due Frontline "The Mission That Never Was" is probably the only thing that's "officially" not in continuity. It was part of continuity while GI Joe was running at Devil's Due. Some of the aspects of that story were wiped out or contradicted by the the IDW relaunch of issues 156-162 (or so). Namely stuff like the allegiances of Destro, Storm Shadow, etc. If anything, you could cover it as sort of a "rough draft" for the official relaunch. All I really remember about it, is Silent Castle Shenanigans, and that the Joes take a PT boat up the east coast. I suppose you could whip up an explanation of where everything fits, and why, if you really wanted to. But I don't think the end result of linking it into "official" continuity is really all that desirable. Now, if "The Mission That Never Was" had been an awesome story, we'd probably be bending over backwards to justify its conclusion. Even though it was written by Hama, I'd lump the Frontline story with stuff like "GI Joe in 3-D", "European Missions" and "Mighty Marvel Storybooks".

I thought that as well. I haven't read Frontline yet, but even if it contradicts the events of 155.5 and after, I'd like to think we could find a way to no-prize it into the continuity? Even still, I think it would be worth discussing at some point...
