GI Joe has every reason to want to be in the MCU, but Marvel has absolutely NO reason to put GI Joe in the MCU. Will a gazillion dollar super well known franchise like Marvel really want to add an old, nearly completely forgotten brand that currently doesn't even exist?

Isn't it just a matter of time before Disney buys Hasbro?!? ;)

Considering that Marvel tried really hard to cram most of their licensed stuff into the continuity, it seems like a real missed opportunity that Joe was never officially.
That being said, I always considered them to be in the comics continuity as a kid. I wish Disney would buy Hasbro. I’d trust them to make a better Joe movie than the two we’ve gotten thus far, even if it’s not MCU related.

No, they would go together like oil and water.
The entire point to G.I. Joe is that heroes are not those who have super powers. They are ordinary individuals putting far more on the line than any super hero ever could. They draw strength from their convictions, training, and the assistance of their brothers and sisters in arms. Each is willing to sacrifice themself for the others, and face mortality in a way that most superior powered beings will never know or understand.

I can actually see it in a way. First, the concept for Joe arose out of Hama's Fury Force concept. Maybe use them as an offshoot of SHIELD, given that SHIELD is no more in the MCU. A similar group of soldiers and spooks uncorrupted by Hydra. It's an idea I've had and sometimes use it when playing with my figures.

I am, and have been since I was a kid, in favor of GI Joe being part of the Marvel Universe... it just seemed natural because of the comics. There were little teases here or there, like JJJ and the Bugle in one issue, or the Joes (in all but name) appearing in an issue of Spider Man. But to me, the greatest what-could-have-been cocktease were these pages from the UK Action Force comic. (This pushes all my fan boy buttons, how I wish I “counted”)
