Thanks for the photos, not sure if it will work for a bomb robot, but I'm going to order one and see if my poor customizing skills can get it to work. Worst case I get a great piece for a lab dio.

My latest project undertaking is plumbing/pipe fittings to turn simple styrene tubing stock into 1:18 scale electrical conduit, steam pipes, and (potentially functional if you really want it to be) water pipes.
First up, here are the standard plumbing fittings in their first draft: I still have a few more fitting types to include, but these are the first and most obvious fittings people may need. These particular models are sized for use with 1/4" OD styrene tube. I plan to make fittings to work with at least one smaller size and one larger size as well, though I haven't yet decided what other sizes to use. Suggestions? I will also be making some brackets for attaching the plumbing to ceilings and walls.

Zap - have you considered creating stuff to go with The Complex?
Complex Specifically the crosses needed to fill the gaps in the corners to start or little beams to hide the connectors...and tons of things that could peg in...I know 'Spoon is working on wave 2 parts...but still you could make a bunch of stuff work.

I got a few more fittings and some hangers whipped up:
There is now a clean-out, cap, reducer, 3- and 4-way t's, 90 degree elbow, 45 degree elbow, coupling, basic hanger, and a support rack that will have 2, 3, 4, and 5-pipe varieties with a pegged support arm that can plug into Gundam "chain base" plates. So far, these are all still for 0.25" OD styrene rigid tubing. The reducer converts 0.25" to 0.1875" (3/16"). Several other sizes are planned. Quote:

Since that project is in active development I don't have any intention of trying to build purely structural "Complex" parts to fill in gaps in their system. I have no qualms about making diorama parts that can plug into the sets though. I already have several in the works for the chain base - in fact, these pipe fittings are being designed for precisely that use - so at most it would just be an alternate peg diameter for my chain base plug-ins to be Complex-compatible. However, I don't seek to step on anyone's toes by making competing core components. If Raginspoon actually wants me to design a stop-gap solution to fill those corner voids while he's working on the real deal I would have no problem with helping out but without an express invitation I'll be leaving it in his hands.

I got some more work done on the tailhook:
I still have to design the connection interface to attach this assembly to the plane, but all of the basic pieces are in place now. There is also still plenty of scaling work and some smoothing left to do.

A first draft of the completed piece is just about ready. The Skystriker's length is insufficient for a true scale tailhook, but this one should still look good on the plane in the up position and the down position:

Hey, Zap, I know I'm in the wrong thread, but I couldn't remember something about the MTF/BF conversions and had a quick question. Do BF heads fit on MTF neck posts?

The head sockets are pretty much the same size in terms of diameter but the BFS head sockets reach deeper into the head. So I believe the BFS heads will fit but probably will sit too low on the MTF neck peg but I honestly don't know for sure that I have tried it that direction. I've always been putting MTF heads on everything else.

Interesting. I don't have any HACKS but was thinking about getting the Knight of Accord. I'd only get it if that alternate head fit on an MTF body. Maybe I'll just take the leap...

I have a GE F110 engine nozzle in progress for the Skystriker...
It will include internals for the rear of the engine as well.
