Another fine British actor passed away yesterday ,Patrick Mc Goohan probably best know for his role in the 60's surreal British TV series "The Prisoner" where he is a trapped in a small Welsh village ,the series was probably not very popular in the USA as it was in the UK ,Canada ,or many other countries .
He also starred in another British Tv series "Secret agent man" in the early 60's .. He will be missed ..RIP |

His Edward I is one of my favorite underrated movie villains. I always thought he'd have been great to play Joruus C'Baoth in a live adaptation of Timothy Zahn's Star Wars novels...always pictured the actor in that role.

>>>>>>> Yes he was in that film wasn't he ,it slipped my mind because i've only seen Braveheart once and that was many years ago ,i remember him more for his films and TV stuff he did during the 60's in the UK ,the Prisoner is a very underated show and was far ahead of it's time ,the show had a strong influence from Czech writer Franz Kafka if anyone knows who he is ? |

__________________ His villians were excellent too ,i read that he was offered villian parts in the Lord of the rings trilogy and Harry Potter but turned them down for health reasons ,too bad he would have made brillant bad guys in both film series . |

To follow up on another current post, I'm sure "Gleaming the Cube" is safe.
