I recently bought a Killer Whale that was taken apart but was not broken. I have never had a Whale before and I am trying to put it back together. For the launch assembly, since there aren't instructions on how to put it together, how do the parts attach and where does the spring go?

That T-shaped piece in the second picture should be rotated 90 degrees to the left I believe. That is the part that pushes the sled out.
It's been so long, I can't quite remember, but I remember a flat surface pushing the sled out. The spring I believe was used to hold the bottom of the shaft to keep the button up.

So the L shaped piece on the right is not positioned correctly, I think. That flat square on the bottom needs to face up as its the button pressed from the surface to launch the sled. Unless a piece is missing. I'll open mine after dinner and post pics.

The L-shaped piece is correct. It's the T-shaped piece that's in the wrong place. The flat piece stays under the top hull after it's reassembled. That part I still remember.
The spring connects to the t-shaped piece to push out that part which in turn pushes the sled.

Yeah, that looks right. Congrats. I really regret selling my mint complete Whale. :( I bought it MISB as an adult and put it together meticulously as the only one I had as a kid came with broken parts already out of the box.
