How deep into the stretch goals do you think we could actually go?

The point still stands: The US Army wasn't combat deployed in real numbers until '44 and thus you won't find them sporting a helmet style that went away well before their real entry point into the war. Their uniforms had evolved to what they are shown wearing in '44, so the comments about their earlier uniforms are not "of the same token" at all.

Hmm, weren’t the jack boots phased out by 1944?

And I know the black SS uniforms were quite different and not worn in the field, but that all-black figure could be close enough to customize into a Red Skull custom or Indiana Jones villain. |

The jackboots were never officially taken out of service. The low boot and gaiter was issued in greater numbers as the war wore on, but never completely supplanted the jackboots. You’ll find pics of German soldiers wearing them right up to the fall of Berlin. The regular Germans in the KS don’t bother me too much... they definately have an early war look, but all that stuff (jackboots, M36 tunic, stein grey trousers) was still available right to the end, just not nearly as common.

Setting aside the hairsplitting over “real numbers,” the point doesn’t so much stand as reinforce my argument that it doesn’t really make sense to have the Germans outfitted in the early war style when the Americans are all geared up for Operation Overlord.

Except that most people *don't care*. Also, if MJ's plans come together we'll eventually have forces from all over the world from every 'era' of it to fight against each other. This first assortment of figures isn't the complete toyline and shouldn't be judged as such at this point in time. You're critiquing a work in progress, if MJ gets his wishes (and monies).
