gotta love those 25th hand sculpts! You can gift wrap a turd and present it very nicely...charge more...but in the end....still a turd.
Does the desire to fill holes in one's collection override a person's senses? $375 + $96 total shipping divided by 13 = $36 per figure. So by my monkey math, that is $10 for the figure and $26 for nostalgia, err I mean, exclusiveness. That sound right? This figure has a huge dome, horrible hands and lackluster paint (I'm using the prior FSS as the example since they are certainly the same figure.) and this is what $36 gets you? FSS subscribers, look up "insanity" in Webster's dictionary. See if it applies.

Noted Xero...but shouldn't you demand more of the club that provides your nostalgia? If they know you will buy half-assed attempts...they have no reason to improve. I would never tell anyone what they can or cannot buy, far from it. It's hard to make figures that are of lessor quality than Hasbro's recent offerings...but the club does just that..at 3 TIME THE COST. The reason the FSS has never improves lies in your very response. You'll buy whatever they offer..and that fuels their fire. Had nobody bought into the first couple of FSS offerings due to QC and lackluster issues, it may have forced the club to actually create better figures, that might have had you keeping all of them...not just a handful. You are basically comissioning a customizer that only gets 1/3 of your order correct. I would say the majority sells off a good portion of their subscription...AT A HIGHER PRICE!! How is that possible? If they were worth more to you...why did you sell them? Same thing with JOECON offerings....buy two sets..sell one. Let's call a spade a spade...it's scalping. But again Xero...you have a right to buy anything you want...as long as YOU are happy.

I'm actually happier with the Club's figures than Hasbro's recent offerings.
The Club still does the classic ARAH styled card art and they try to make figures or characters we don't have. The last few Hasbro waves have been the same characters for the most part, but in Wolf Squadron colors. As far as selling off want I don't want at a higher price, that's just not what I do. Ask most, I sell cost plus shipping. (or trade) But let's say I do sell a figure for double what I was charged... if I was a fringe collector that only wanted FSS Darklon, paying $75 instead of the full $375 is a good thing. I chose to buy a Con Backstop for $150 because going and getting my own (airfare, hotel, food, tax, etc) would have been closer to $3500 dollars! And all I really wanted was Backstop. So $150 was done and done for me. If someone wants to skip FSS, but wants Kangor, for example, he'll pay a little more for it... but it's the same as Costco pickles... if you only want a few, go to the grocery store and pay $3 bucks... if you want a deal, then buy the giant jar for $15 and let 2/3rds get moldy before you eat them. It's all pickles man.

Any thoughts on Crystal Balls build? I think i have a pretty good idea on most, but not sure where they'll go for him. Something like Zanzibar with Gnaw's vest?

From the original, his upper arms look very Zartan-esque. Gnaw's vest would be a good fit. I think if they re-used Zandar's entire body with Gnaw's vest and the new head, he'd be decent.
