Watching 'Red Rocket's Glare.' There's a scene where Xamot and Tomax literally jump out of low-flying airplane without parachutes. So I looked it up, and the minimum control speed for a Learjet 60 is somewhere around 130 mph. That's roughly the same as terminal velocity for a falling human, and a two-second fall isn't long enough to impact their velocity either way.
And like five minutes later, they are falling out of the office building and grab onto these weird poles that stick out of the building. Setting aside the question of why these things are there to begin with, trying to grab a flagpole while falling would be a bit like trying to stop a major league batter's swing with your bare hands. And then they end the whole thing by riding a ballistic missile into a river. The fatal speed for impacting water appears to be just over 30 m/s. I have no idea how fast their rocket was travelling, but I'm going to take a SWAG and say it was probably more than that. So here's the point: GI Joe isn't just about highly-trained soldiers. These guys are goddamned superheroes whose powers make them comparable to Captain America. |

I have a burger from Texas Roadhouse last night, speaking of the lone star State, but only ate half on account of all the wings i had before hand.
Well, i just ate the other half and smothered it in extra cheese, and it was even better than it was last night. |

I'm pretty open - some good old fashioned cheddar or American on a sandwich, but Monterey jack is never a bad idea. i can put Mexican queso on anything, too. I think provolone is overrated as shit though.

So far my wife and I are liking it here pretty well. As for BBQ, that sounds like a plan. There are quite a few BBQ placed around here, apparently hard 8 is really good, yep that sounds bad when I say it, lol. One definite plus is I can actually breath here, compared to Knoxville, where I stayed congested due to all the allergens that were in the air.
