Better than 3 kitbash repaints for $80 or a repainted conquest for $130. Maybe a repainted snow mobile is more your speed? How about derpy Dee jay....is that your guy? Man, some people just can't appreciate nostalgia. And yeah.....I'm going s little ape shit over a remake of a 1982 exclusive that until was outside of my budget and therefore unattainable. Don't hate the player...hate the game (mic drop)

You can't do mic drops anymore. Verizon started using them and so...they be dead.
I agree with you though, just like the Gentle Giant large figures, these are a nostalgic item, that many of us never got, or wound up in the trash like the gliders. So they became outrageously expensive as a collector's item. Quote:
You and I don't always seem to agree CG but we definitely do here. I honestly don't get what seems to be some peoples issue with this set. Its $50 for one of the Grails in the vintage Joe collection. I would easily take this over every $150 TF/Joe set that we have gotten the past few years. Even if I personally didn't like the set I would totally get why its so popular.

Given how popular this has become, I really wonder how many will make it online though. I kind of like Neca's way of doing it better. They put their SDCC exclusives up on their site for preorder today. I checked it out a half hour after they were up and still got the "manly handshake" Dutch figure.

I wish it was plastic instead of cardboard.
It looks like I may be working at comic-con this year. 3 hours for this? not sure...

Plastic would have been a very welcomed update for this set. We know it could be done relatively inexpensive as DJ toys has been doing this in much smalker quantities than HASBRO Would ever need to do.

I'm glad people are enjoying this but I think it's pretty weak. I never cared for the original so it doesn't hold any nostalgia appeal for me. Card board seemed cheap before and still does today. But like I said, I'm glad people are excited for it.

What the hell is that thing!?!?
Does anyone else have designs of laminating the missile command base if / when they get one? Any ideas on the best method, or should I just take one to Kinkos?
