Ive been of the same opinion on this series since day one.
I hate it. Its like a 5 year old wrote and drew the series. And yeah I know thats not a popular opinion, but its how I feel. The completist in me will buy it...bag and board it and put it away, but Im still gonna hate it. |

Scioli's General Flagg is the best G.I. Joe...
I love this guy's work. I see why you all don't like it, but I think it holds up as ART. |

It does what good art is supposed to do, challenge the way you think. This series is the most creative, different, strange interpretation of our beloved GI Joe.

Haha, I wrote superior comics at age 8 than those pages. True story.

I read his Joe vs Transformers series online in a binge. It's so whack! As no one says anymore. I appreciated some of the odd things he did (Using Flagg and Dr. Venom), but at the same time the story telling was too often one-shock/surprise moment to the next with little exposition. It realy did have a kid-written feel in terms of attention span and that not much really made sense.

I actually liked it. Not everything was my cup of tea, but once you embraced the sheer insanity and the experimental hyper-compressed storytelling, there was a lot to like. It somehow combined an epic, unapologetic tone that reminded me of Jodorowsky, with this lunatic idiocy that made it feel like you were watching an insane child playing with their toys. I'll be the first to admit that it only works as a weird little gimmick, but I thought it had more boldness and creativity than most "normal" comics.
