I am very amazed at the 2008 figures.I think the biggest problem aside from the lack of vehicles and repaints was distribution.Through september to October our area got saturated with the wave 9 revisions not to mention the wave 10 that only had Mutt in it.I never did see the stealth Wraith, period.I knew when I saw a pciture of it back in August (give or take)that one would be hard to track down.Let alone the basic version.

In general, I'm satisfied with the line, other than the usual issues of articulation, repaints, pegwarmers, and distribution. I think the first issue has been largely resolved, the second will probably always be an issue. I think the biggest challenge now is to insure good distribution without creating too many peg warmers or ultra rare figures-perhaps easier said than done.

I am waaaaaaaaay outnumbered when I say that I am not satisfied. Make no mistake, I love the 25th line. But it does not satisfy me. Distribution is still bad, quality control is still questionable, character selection is still poor (3 Wild Bills but no Mindbender, or no carded black suit Baroness for example). Countless incarnations of Duke and Cobra Commander. Weeks after their release, I still cannot locate a Water Moccasin or Best of 80's pack at retail. My foil carded figures are pulling away from their cards, bubble and all. Considering it was meant for collectors, they knew we would keep them carded. Yet they are un-carding themselves. I could go on and on. So no, I am not satisfied. But I like the line

I am very satisfied with the toy line.
I must agree with so many on here. 1#To many repaints. 2#Not enough key characters made...Dr.Mindbender,Footloose,Zarana...etc. 3#availability.....thank god for the internet,or I would of not found some of my figures. 4#to many repainted vehicles???? the ultimate battle pack was a joke, other then the tank.....you could of had a cobra stun,or stinger,etc... PLEASE HASBRO CONTINUE TO MAKE THE 25th LINE....

In general yes. i spend a lot of money but, it's ok.
The repaints don't bother me cause it allow me to buy someone i missed or maybe i couldn't buy at the time, but i still wish we could see some joes and cobras that maybe are not so popular released (maybe as a 5 pack, but not a exclusive! if not for ebay i couldn't buy anything.) |
