Man, this file-card was a hassle to translate. The copy was horrible and I couldn't find another one like it on the 'Net. Anyway, here's "Brazilian Bullet-Proof":
Tiro Certo ‘Sure Shot’ (Caucasian Bullet-Proof) – Esquadrao de Elite ‘Elite Squad’: Collect all this emotion! Cut this file for your Commandos in Action archives. TIRO CERTO He served in Central America and the Caribbean before being drafted into the Elite Squad. It was over there that Sure Shot honed his marksmanship until achieving perfection. Who else is capable of bringing down five coconuts of a coconut tree with only one shooting? Up until the Cobras admire his ability and deeply deplore not having him fighting at their side. In countless battles, although in greater numbers, they were [grossly?] defeated. Can [?]: Tiro Certo never misses a shot! “They say if Sure Shot had lived in the old American West, today there would be no movie Westerns to portray that time. After all, there would be no gunman, Indian or bandit that could cross him...” Below this, they had the stats for his gear and weapons. I ran out of time, so I didn't add it. Sorry. |

I love this guy! He seems to be the first "G.I. Joe" action figure that could actually serve as a chaplain. The "chaplain assistants" finally have someone to protect! LOL.
Anjo da Guarda ‘Guardian Angel’ (“Battle Corps” Keel-Haul) – Tropa de Assalto ‘Assault Troop / Squad’ / Piloto do Resgator ‘Driver of the Rescuer’ [Street Fighter 2 Crimson Cruiser / Badger] Boy Scout, lifeguard, volunteer for Civil Defense, social worker, doctor, missionary in the Amazon jungle. He was and is a bit of everything. Always helping people and saving lives. One could even turn the Guardian Angel of Commandos! “He became a legend at the Commandos when, alone, made the rescue of passengers of a crashed train in the mountains. Controlled the panic, organized the removal of people, medicated the victims. - That young man is our guardian angel, report. It really was.” I really had trouble with the last line of the first paragraph. The idea of "turning" was a negative, like "overcoming" or "upsetting". I'm really not sure what it was trying to say, so it's probably a common saying in Portugal that I don't get... Interestingly, they turned M. Bison's Street Fighter vehicle (originally the G.I. JOE Badger) into a "rescue vehicle" for Guardian Angel. I guess because it's red. However, I don't know what good this one-man assault vehicle would do for transporting or aiding potential patients in any way. LOL. Last edited by seaneley; 08-20-2016 at 12:36 PM.. |

Yeah. I originally had that, but 'sure' was the only option offered by my current translator. Now that I think about it, "One Shot" seems to make more sense in the context of the file-card.

This Brazilian fellow's interesting, because he's about as opposite of Outback as he can be, in my opinion! The only thing they might share is a love of Third World countries.
Marfim ‘Ivory’ (1993 “Battle Corps” Outback) – Forca Bruta ‘Brute Force’ / Piloto do Mamuth ‘Driver of the Mammoth’ [Brawler] Instructor of techniques and attack technology, Ivory has spent his life in [the] developing countries of Africa and Asia. And it was precisely in Africa that he won his nickname. They say he is strong as ivory, tough as ivory, valuable [also: rich or noble] as ivory. Now that I know it… “To pilot the Mammoth – the super-tank with the latest attack technology – the Commandos only had to add A + B. The result? MAMMOTH = IVORY!” Last edited by seaneley; 08-20-2016 at 01:00 PM.. |

Unfortunately, the damage of just one or two words on the file-card was somewhat vexing...
Mercer ‘Mercenary’ – Comando Engenheiro ‘Command Engineer / Engineer Commando’ Out of engineering college, Mercer began working on the construction of houses and popular buildings. Even there, nothing new. The original was the material he used: clay, glass shards and even old tires! This fantastic ability to build with any extra type of material attracted the attention of the Commandos. In regions or situations more difficult, there is the Control Engineer in action! “If we abandon Mercer in the middle of the Sahara desert, he will probably make buildings of [excellence? defense? etc. out of? (text missing…)] all that sand [while] providing soup…” Doesn't sound like our Mercer, does it? Then again, who knows what he was capable of before and after joining Cobra?
