They're Sid and Evgeny's team. How could you possibly expect them to know who's last in the league...? And yes, I do wonder about Malkin. He sure has a purty mouth... |

Like I said, priceless... Even if you hate the Flyers, you gotta love their fans. |

I read nhl.com's game summary for tonight and it was so depressing for the Wild (and in general). To paraphrase the article; "dear Wild, you're f*cked this week."

Well, lucky for the Wild Owen Nolan requested to play against the Sharks even though he was not 100% recovered from his injury and without practicing with the team since before 12/5 which is usually a requirement of Lemaire. Nolan is special though.
Nolan apparently IS special because the Wild are 12-6 with him in the lineup and 6-10-2 without and has score in 5 of his last 7 games. Really it should be 12-5 and 5 of 6 because he got injured on his first shift in the 12/5 loss to Vancouver. As for your question about Gaborik, Thunderdan...he played 2 games in Oct., came back and played 4 games in Dec., and has been out the last 3 games again. :( Anyway good game last night against the Sharks. Hopefully they can build on it and have another strong game against the Wings. |

Even though the Wild ended a shitty month in the win column, last night's game left me frustrated and pissed off all night. Why? I'll tell you...
So I've been watching the whole game. The Wild have been playing well, and I'm getting more and more excited as it looks like they are actually going to beat the Sharks in regulation which has happened only 4 times so far. Anyway, the Sharks score with 23 seconds left in the game. I am super pissed, and hope the Wild don't collapse in OT. But just when the Wild are about to score the game winner. My Mom and Dad call to let me know they arrived safely in Arizonia. I couldn't get Mom off the phone. She just kept blabbing on and on (Kinda like this post), and everything was over and done by the time I got her off the phone. I had to go on ESPN just to see who scored the goal. So in the end, I still felt frustrated and angry all night because I never got the chance to release those emotions and cheer when they scored. I tried screaming when I got off the phone, but it didn't help much. The rum and cokes did a better job... Happy New Year guys! Getting ready to watch the Winter Classic in a 1/2 hour. Should be a good one. |

I really enjoyed watching the Winter Classic and my Red Wings did not dissapoint. After going down 3-1 they poured it on and won in such a cool setting. The 6-4 outcome was a nice ending to a hard fought game. I really wish the league would look into the popularity of these and try to have more of them. The request for tickets alone should show the NHL that this is very popular (240,000) making it the hardest sport ticket to get in Chicago history! Hopefully we will get more of these cool games!
