If we finally get GIJOE Hot Wheels, based on the 82-94 designs I will be ecstatic.
However, I am always leery of a potential monopoly situation.

Bloomberg said if they combine they will control 25 percent of the market. They also said since the toy industry is so fragmented anti trust laws may not apply. That's interesting.

Been there, done that. To me, it looks like they are both doing well enough on there own. I'm not sure a merger would help the G.I. Joe brand. They could consolidate the profitable toys and focus the majority of their attention on them and discontinue lines like Joe.
There are enough toys out there to keep me satisfied, so it wouldn't effect me that much. |
