Great looking figure in hand! The tattoo is a little high up though! I do not like those ball jointed ankle rocker feet! You cannot turn the figures feet left or right; I wish that Hasbro would go back to the old articulation on the feet of some of these figures (..some figures with this feet articulation issue is: 50th Anniversary Destro, Retaliation Ultimate Cobra Commander and all the Retaliation Roadblocks outside of wave 1)! -Outside of that Gung-Ho is good figure & I am glad Hasbro made him available! Sorry for the choppy cell phone pics!

A scene from the G.I.Joe sunbow episode "the Cobra Strikes" reenacted with modern G.I.Joe figures and me goofing off with taking pictures of course!

I think the 25th version of this character is fine, after I feel he was one of the dumbest looking figures in the whole line.
That being said, I enjoyed some of his comic appearances...when he isn't wearing the stupid blue vest. |

This version is the best. I hope they also repaint it like the comic pack (the one with armored CC). Would also like to have a few for bashing. Excellent sculpt.

Gung Ho is definitely my must-have of the 2015 wave of 50ths.

I was lucky to obtain him for less than $20 thanks to Ryan Maxwell from Hisstank leading me to the toy shop that had him. Never found one in the wild, but if I could get a second one, I would like to use one for customizing, though not for expensive Ebay prices.

I put the new 50th Gung Ho in my Joe display. I put my old 25th Gung Ho in my Endor display with all the Ewoks.

You mean the one where they put all the biceps on reversed (backwards and right to left). I hate that chest sculpt more than any other from the past six years. The abs were carved way too deep. The hands were terrible for anything other than the one gun. He had those weird elbow sweatbands. I think the only redeeming points were for his jacket and backpack.
This version is the best. I hope they also repaint it like the comic pack (the one with armored CC). Would also like to have a few for bashing. Excellent sculpt. No desire to have any better version of 1/2 naked tattooed sailor looking dude! |
