Is the readers' club pushing through the Civil War? I am through the Chuckles story and catching up through the other titles (main/origins). Should I keep reading? Is Hasbro going to give us some IDW Vipers or Crystal Ball yet????

I hope we can talk about everything IDW has done over the years. So yeah expect to see Civil War coverage in the future.

Just finished Vol. 4 of the Dixon main title TPB.
I really liked it. Liked the flow and action. Doesn't draw you in psychologically like Joe/Cobra. That is the strength of that talky character stuff, it brainwashes you into existing in the head-space of the characters, like Cobra did to Scoop / tried to do to Chuckles. One problem with the main title, you see that in the covers they do traditional character decos, but then they shy away from it in the comic. It's not a big deal that it's missing, but then when you see the covers, you wonder why?* *I guess they want to connect with the readership which is familiar with one "look." But then want to give artists the freedom to design, or they are test-ballooning new looks for figures? The Cobra sub sailors have great (basic) looks for figs, and I also like the Joe (scaled-down) looks when they are on base / in meetings. I just ordered the Cobra Civil War books and volumes 5 of the main title and origins. I'm trying to do my part to save the line! Last edited by Stalker; 05-12-2015 at 02:44 PM.. |

I have every single TPB from GI Joe: Cobra 1 to Cobra Files 2. While some of the artwork is not great, the storyline is definitely worth the money I spent. A must have for any serious Joe collector.

I just got through the G.I JOE vs. COBRA floppy copys ( Thanx DESTRO ) that I won here during the hisstank trivia contest. While the art was not SPECTACULAR on some pages, I was still able to get into the story and really enjoyed it.
Cant wait to read the outcome of the mighty Chuckles!!!!
