I wish I could still find the larger vehicles. I never got the tank. Wal marts just carry the figures and the tiny vehicles in my area now.

I spoke to the guy who sculpted all the New Recruits figures (including the 4 new guys with limited articulation)
He said Lanard did it to "compete with other figures on the market with limited articulation" but he also said that the next wave of figures is in the design process and they are leaning towards full articulation again. |

Well...now Lanard has my attention again. Is he a part of the design team that is responsible for the next wave? One (of many ) positive aspects of Lanards The CORPS! line is that , much like GI Joe before the explosion in popularity decades ago, there were a limited number of figures released at once so you had a realistic chance of acquiring all of the latest wave without feeling as though you;d never catch up with regard to acquiring new product. If Lanard releases a new wave of fully articulated figures in their usual 4-6 character format i'd pick some up despite not being into 1/18th much these days. Hm...Boulder with ball jointed or equivalent hips.... Yep..i'd be all in. Last edited by Plasticfan; 08-05-2014 at 05:50 AM.. |

It'll be interesting to see what comes next. I hope they have the same, more realistic scaling (like the New Recruits), as the older figures do tend to look a little ape-like. But it's interesting to learn that about the limited versus full articulation move.
I'm guessing for the average CORPS! buyer, more figures = more fun than fewer figures with more articulation (after all most kids just ''bounce'' their toys across the table or couch when running into battle, so articulation isn't a big deal) but it's good to hear they're looking to go back to the more pose-able figures.

Custom Buckshot using desert Spade body. Head fits ok but the peg stopper is a little smaller in diameter than the New Recruits so it's a tad bit loose. It's nothing major and holds really well.

Heh, yeah that's the first thing I noticed when I saw this guy.
Im in the process of putting Dozer's head on Rucker's body, that involves a bit of surgery though as the neck pegs are totally different. I literally have to cut Rucker's head off, cut off Dozer's peg and stick Dozer's head onto Rucker's ball jointed neck peg. |

They released a new batch of Corps at walmart, called Corps Elite. (with almost adventure team esque color patterns. Orange highlights, yellows (I felt it was a 70's thing).
