I am surprised they put money down on a new head for Stalker. I really thought it would be a straight up repaint of PoC Stalker. When I first saw the new Stalker, I thought it was awesome. Then I scrolled down and saw the pants. They make baby Duke cry with their eye blinding brightness. But on the bright side....Cobra will never be looking for a guy in yellow pants in the jungle.
I think the money for a new Stalker head could of been better spent on something else, but a new classic Stalker head could be a good thing. Especially with a removable beret. If they had put Recondo's subdued shirt coloring on Stalker's pants, this figure would be the creme de la creme for me!

It seems they wanted to have a consistent color scheme for Tiger Force this year and I for one approve whole heartedly. Mixing in the orange and blue makes them look like less of a unit and more of a bunch of random troops thrown together. This is a much more cohesive look. I assume the vehicles will match the theme as well.

Better to give the new head sculpt to a better, more deserving character like Stalker. About time he can finally take his hat off, put his boots up and relax.

I don't think anyone has said any of that.
I know what I have said in the past (and what I have seen many others say in one way or another) is that market value is market value. If someone chooses to spend the money and time to go to the con, they receive the ability to buy a certain number of exclusives. If they choose to put them up on eBay, that's nobody else's business. Nor is it unethical... any more so than flipping a house, or even selling it 5 years later at a profit. No justification on their part is needed... assuming they didn't cheat or steal to get what they have. If they got it through Club approved means, it's kosher. This attitude that you are owed something by someone you don't even know who expends the effort to go to con, and that con goers should sell things to you below market value because they are kind nice people is just childish. THAT would be altruism. This isn't canned food or toys for tots... this is an expensive toy that literally nobody needs. The sooner people understand that trading should not be an emotional process guided by feelings of pity, generosity, or hatred, the sooner they will be much happier in life. eBay is the very definition of true market value. People can only sell for what other people want to pay. If something is too pricey for someone, I can feel sad about that, or wish that supply was greater so that more people can afford it. But that doesn't mean I should take money out of my kid's college fund to be that person's benefactor. (Note that I am actually on the other side of the deal, since I don't go to con... just an example) Last edited by Dusty Ayers; 03-03-2015 at 07:23 PM.. |

I actually really like the Rasta-Stalker. I just wish his eyes weren't so derpy. I do like this TF Stalker. It looks sharp and intrigued by the M-2 that can be disassembled and put onto the backpack.

New character though. His older figures weren't outstanding, but they weren't horrible either.

I think the idea is BB could have been really decent with a new head, and I agree with most that characters seeing their first modern adaption should be the ones that get the new heads. Stalker had a great version in the POC one, foe me that is the definative modern version.
