Matt Damon could play Falcon in a movie. I always thought Bourne would be similar to Falcon in their training.
Damon = Bourne = Falcon. Makes sense to me.

That sounds like a match to me as well. Falcon was a tuff guy in the comic and no not the cartoon. But then again I think the Joe movie got several things wrong!

I with you there, buddy. The movie was crap in a lot of ways. The animation was good, and the opening theme song was great, but the plot and the characterization of the new Joes was bad.
I strongly feel that Falcon was supposed to have been the new leader character, like Flint and Duke before him. The series ended and he never got to develop. He was a Delta Force trained officer. He would have been one of the toughest guys on the team. Bourne = Falcon.

One thing I wanted to mention about your initial post: you asked whether or not you should change the color of Falcon's sleeves to a lighter color because they're rolled up? The answer is no. I know you Marines roll up your sleeves so that the inside of the sleeve faces out, showing a lighter color. However, Falcon is an Army Officer, and in the Army we don't roll our sleeves up that way. In fact, we don't roll our sleeves up at all anymore with the new ACU's, but back in the old days of the BDU's, we didn't roll up our sleeves like the Marines did. We rolled them so that the exterior of the fabric still showed at the cuff, and the lighter colored interior of the fabric was not seen at all. That was the regulation on how to wear the BDU blouse with "sleeves up". Just thought you'd want to be as accurate as possible. You Marines at Lejuine always impressed me a lot when I was at Bragg. By the way, I'm really wondering if you're going to put this figure up on ebay? Would you be willing to sell it? Thanks. If you want to PM me with details that would be awesome. If I plan on selling him, I'll let you know I really just did this to see what it would look like, because the factory paint job blows! |

Thanks bro. I really appreceiate your input. I posted a comment about the wings in my Stalker thread. I am not too keen on Army regs. I was aiming for an accurate uniform look though. I even painted the U.S. Army Special Operations Command (USASOC) badge on his sleeve. Being an SF dude, I figured that he would/could belong to them.
If I plan on selling him, I'll let you know I really just did this to see what it would look like, because the factory paint job blows! All other Special Forces guys wear the SFGA unit patch, which is similar: it's a turquoise arrowhead with a gold dagger and three lightning bolts. The Airborne tab and Special Forces tab go above it - though that's probably way more detail than any toy requires. The right shoulder of an Army uniform is reserved for a soldier's "Combat patch". It's the unit that soldier served in while in combat. I once heard a Marine say that the Army was like the Boy Scouts, "They have patches for everything." He's kind of right ;) Just trying to help.
