So I almost bought a skidmark at coil con just to honor his dedication to serving on the poll's ballot. Other characters have come and gone, but skid mark has yet to leave for the greener pastures of victory. Surely the temptation was there, but thusfar, he has remained loyal to his 3 to 5 voters. So here's a quick toast to skidmark.

Add Slice
Obviously and expectedly the New Sculpt and the Devil's Due era does not get the same level of exposure nor carry the same level of nostalgia as those characters from the 80s and 90s, but in my opinion, Zanya, Black Out and Shooter are far more interesting characters, have far better individual stories, and play far more unique and important rolls in the GI Joe vs Cobra saga than any other character currently in the polls. At this point they are due, and it is a shame they keep getting passed up by less interesting and less developed characters just because they had an 80s toy. 'Nuff Said.

Quality over quantity matters. One character can have more impact in one appearance than another one who gets written about ad nauseam but has nothing essentially very interesting or memorable about them.

The polls did some thoughts in my head - i picked up a few loose guys that I had no real interest in before (Blizzard) and I've got a new guy to get in to the polls at some point! That Weaponsmith was Awesome! (Ok maybe like 359th Greatest!)

Challenge accepted!
At this point, it looks like Darklon is taking this poll - and that Raptor will probably be the next Add. So, this is the perfect time to play the 2 Cobra Screwballs against each other to split their vote and get Shooter in! (I've always hated both of those idiots!) So, let's make a pact - at this point, I think both Shooter and Steel Brigade are both 'greater' than anyone else currently available. If all the SB voters will get on the Shooter band wagon for the next round, I vow to get on the SB brigade the round after that! Who's with me?!? It is going to take some convincing - and we need to get the Shooter hype post on page 1 for Beef's next poll - it looks like it should start Sunday morning. So, post some pics and stories and give reasons why we need Shooter in!!! Shooter - G.I. Joe Wiki - Joepedia - GI Joe, Cobra, toys

I'll be holding my vote to the end and seeing if I can use it to help CB, Raptor or Steel Brigade win.
I'll never forgive them for retroactively ruining the in-joke suggesting Marvel EIC Jim Shooter was a member of the Joe team. |

Beef - I wish I would have known you were going - I would have loved to put a name with a face! We probably walked right by each other a few times!

That Weaponsmith was Awesome! (Ok maybe like 359th Greatest!) I could have spent a while longer digging through bins but by 10:30 it was just busy enough that that was getting difficult to do. My collection pre-88 is getting close to complete, so I always like looking for SM, TF, and PP figures with good elbows. All I can ever find in good shape complete from those sub-lines seem to have elbow cracks (and for whatever reason, that bothers me now). I guess with a name like Indyjammer, I should have expected you'd be there though. Last year was my first, but I'll probably make a point in going every year since it is so well run and within driving distance.

Plus, there's rumors that Freestyle was based off of her as well - and she was a very cool figure from Joe Con a couple years ago!

It'll be difficult for a recent convention figure to make this poll. I'd rather see the Night Stalkers Commander, Rebecca M. Bristow make it in.
