I'm generally enjoying the Hama run though it feels like familiar territory and almost an homage the classic issues rather than a natural progression from them. Kind of like comfort food - a quick trip back to Broca beach, a raid on a Terrordrome, etc.
The blue ninjas are a pain - with such a large cast and characters (Pathfinder being one of dozens who has never been featured) I see no reason to add even more ninja stuff to the line. I'd like to see issue 200 feature something major, like a completely unexpected and major plot twist or something. Or a bunch of Joe deaths or something - something to shake things up a little. |

Checking in.
I've been reading the Hama run but am a bit behind and pretty sporadic as to when I get around to buying them (no local comic shop, ebay, etc. as and when I remember). |

Still lurking and trying to remember back in the 80's about my Joe team in formation. I've been picking up my favorite 80's Joes.
The new Joe magazine subscription "free" figure sounds awesome. Im trying to find a good place in my Modern Era Formation for Crosscountry and his HAVOC Mk II. It's either the MAS-X Unit or Im leaning for him to be attached to Zero Platoon to drive the HAVOC II with Stalker, the Platoon Sergeant. Then Frostbite would drive the Snowcat with Sub-Zero, the Platoon Leader. Cross-Country and the HAVOC MK II Tollbooth and the Bridgelayer Cover Girl and the Wolverine Cluth and the PoC VAMP XXX and the RAM (not sure yet) And I'm wondering if there should be an Infantry element attached.

I need to get a Kickstart and find a role for him. RAM driver would work.
I don't want to use Rock 'n Roll because he'd be part of the infantry element.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone !
BTW here's a useful site DVIDS - Publications - Publications It contains free pdf copies of open source US Military mags for info and pics. search for "Tip of the Spear" which is the open source SOCOM magazine. The SEALs have "Ethos" magazine and the USAF is "Air Commando Journal" |

Happy Thanksgiving! And what an awesome find. There is so much to read on there, and plenty of inspiration.
It kind of reminded me if we have recently tried to match up the Cobra units to a real world equivalent. I know we have discussed it in the past, but there are now new units like Combat Ninjas, that may have changed our make ups.

Thinking about this unit what purpose does it really serve? Is it an anti-Tank unit? or some other hybrid? The Missles on the CAT and Wolverine bring a lot of firepower, but seem almost anti-tank in nature. It makes me wonder what use RAM cycles can really serve. They can move quickly. I don't see an anti tank element to the firepower they possess, but certainly anti-Infantry. Harassment during a withdraw, whether harassing an opposing unit or covering a withdrawal. They could serve as a sort of ambush machine gun nest, provided it was concealed properly. Just thinking out loud.
