sure, if you approach the scenario rationally.
but someone who would repack can't afford the hobby. that someone who can't afford the hobby obviously doesn't have a very good job. that someone who doesn't have a very good job obviously doesn't have a very good education. that someone who doesn't have a very good education obviously isn't very intelligent. that person who isn't very intelligent is probably not very rationale, or else they would have worked harder in school to get a better job so they can afford the things they want. although it is aggravating, a repacker is ultimately a very stupid person (and dishonest), and someone who is that stupid really should be pitied independent of their dishonesty. it is a shame that people are that dumb and have to behave in such a manner to save a few dollars. |

Is this what hisstank is about?
Whining? Jeez, let people do as they will and mind your business. Its not like most of you were going to buy that damn set for 70$ anyway lol. Blame hasbro for being so devious as to put a wanted figure in a $70 set. For putting so many subpar repaints in one set. Blame Target for not giving a shit and having no shame in putting it back on the shelf to try and trick another retard into buying it. Then THAT person can come on here and say "OMG I HAVE A VARIANT! Wait I was tricked~!" Even though its a huge clear box. Maybe some kid wanted that set for X-mas, and his clueless mom will pick it up for him. The point is, "let people do as they will do" is a weak-ass position; re-packing stuff is tantamount to stealing, and people shouldn't feel embarrassed to say so. Saying that Hasbro or Target deserve the blame is extremely stupid. |

i'm not going to blame hasbro for someones obvious disregard for the law and other collectors by repacking. hasbro's marketing does not justify such behavior. you can make all the points you want but in the end it's wrong plane and simple and we all know it. as pointed out, the only people it hurts is us, fellow collectors, when they get reshelved and bought by those less observant or warm the shelf preventing restock.
spin it anyway you want but in the end you know it's wrong and some do it anyway.

People need to get a grip. Repacking is shoplifting and should be charged as such - Nothing more, nothing less.
It seems to me funny that the people that seem to lose sleep dreaming up new tortures for re-packer - the greatest menace of modern times - and spend hours on the internet screaming at the top of their lungs about it, talk about going to return lines to catch re-packers, etc. Will then actually in the same thread lambaste the re-packer for having no life. You sirs have no life. Is this now the primary topic of this site? Last edited by Steinberg; 11-27-2008 at 11:22 AM.. |
