That head being so huge looks NOTHING like the gorgeous prototype. The paint is underwhelming too. I'm cool with no skirt, but Joes never had issues with humungous lady heads til Resolute. What happened?

I don't know what the deal is with Hasbro & the big heads on female Gi Joe figures; I don't get it! Hasbro nailed it with the latest Marvel Universe female figures (..Rogue from the X-Men four pack, Mystique, X-23, Scarlet Witch; not only did they nail the heads down but their bodies as well)! For those of you who do want the new Baroness head mold; but don't want to pay those hefty SDCC price, you can wait until that head mold is available on Ebay! -I'm almost certain that someone will make a copy of that head mold & sell it for $10.00 or less including free shipping!

The $7 knock off USB data stick Ravage I have from China has more articulation... But he is still kind of a poor placeholder.
The pic of Baroness with Destro is why I want this figure. Destro is so lonely on the shelf all by his lonesome! (Soundwave is a terrible listener) I guess if I don't get this, I won't be very upset. If/when the head gets cast... shrink it a little eh, boys? |

She looks to much like a female Spider-Man for me to get behind this figure/character. I like the head sculpt, just not the general direction of her attire. Not bashing the figure, it's a good figure, just not for me.

I know there is alot of diffrent options about the way the Baroness looks. But I have to say this might have to be the best looking Baroness ever.

I love her...big head & all!
Crimson Asp has a pretty big head, but it doesn't bother me in person. I'm sure Baroness will be much the same. Kinda glad she lost the skirt. |

Her head is fine. It looks much smaller here than in the AC Toys pics. It is the same size as the prototype image (I measured). It just doesn't have the skirt anymore to help balance it.
Why am I arguing? Less competition for this set. If you prefer the hag from the 5-paclk as well as every other peanut-head Baroness, more power to you. This is the only Baroness head I can even stomach. By the way, why did no one complain about the huge block heads on the concept case Gung Ho, Destro, and Leatherneck? Even though they were on beefier bodies, they were still proportionally much larger than is typical. They looked almost like a new style of figure entirely. |

I'm going to try rit-dying the resolute Baroness's skirt, see it that will make it black enough to match or at least give it a good base for painting. |

I was reading on the dying process. Sounds messy and unpredictable. If I have to, I'll probably just paint it. But I'm hoping someone will cast the skirt in black. Although, I have no idea what the properties of the resin they use is, so I don't know if it will be thermoplastic enough to be heated and slipped on.
If I get a set, I'll just display her as-is for now and wait and see. |
