Just be careful guys when you use the peroxide as if you have it out to long you will make the plastic very brittle when in hydrogen peroxide. I did the same thing with stormy as the original poster did a year ago and I got him white but when I screwed his back to his torso he snapped like a twig.

the transformers site has a debate going on whether this is only a temporary fix. ive used 3% peroxide solution successfully with joe stuff, but it was white, clear, and light grey items only. i am going to try it on my slightly yellowed hqcc when the summer comes because it does need sunlight.
the tf2005 site says it may make the item more prone to yellowing in the future because it damages the top layer of plastic. i did a slightly yellowed stormy last summer and he is still white, but he hasnt been displayed much since. this is a ttbp i used it one. it was also only slightly yellow.

the process is simple.
1 disassemble and put the parts you need de yellowed in a clear container with hydrogen peroxide. i use 3% you can buy at the store. 2 cover with plastic wrap and seal so the gasses are trapped. 3 put in direct sunlight until the desired color is reached. rotate so all pieces/parts get equal sun time.

Heres my old yellow Stormtrooper, he actually looks worse in the pic. I need to remove the black paint i put on em. Then find some of this to whiten em. Not sure if you can see it, but on the back of his right arm he's been cut. This girl on the school bus had these scissors, i thought she was joking but she really cut em. I superglued it and it stayed together after that.
It looks like an excellent Sandtrooper custom even though it just got that way from wear and tear over the years. Keep it just the way it is.

Just got a couple of yellowed Stormys in a LOT. I went to the beauty supply store and picked up a few bottles of 40%. Just started the process. as soon as they went in the jar one head started to whiten the other is still yellow 20 MIN. in I let you know how it turns out!

I wonder if this would work for the Crawler on a Defiant. Mine is gray but it has seen some heat and sun and I was wondering if this technique will bring it back to a nice color.

Let me tell you that these figs started out w/ a dark yellow inside and out! Maybe 3 shades darker than spiderpumpkins as per pic. Now it's the End of the day and they are whiter than when they went in. There is one SS that is brighter than the other, however the are still yellow. I will try again in direct sunlight tomorrow. was exposed maybe a total of 2-3-hrs of direct UV because of clouds in an enclosed
container. I guess I will try the container open. LMK your opinion if this will make a difference in the reaction (Open/closed) Thanx.
