This bit of news is exciting to me (... and probably Air-Tight).
Darth Vader himself, David Prowse, is coming to SuperMegaFest this year. They finally updated the site. Besides action figures, my other hobby is collecting signatures from Star Wars actors. Between Peter Mayhew and the midget who played the Ewok Teebo coming to RI Comic Con and David Prowse and 2 other midgets in the OT coming to SMF, November will be an expensive month. A 3rd party is going to be making a kit for that Skyhammer to make him a G1 Headmaster. You can definitely sell/trade those if you want. I already got my extra (1 to keep as Skyhammer and 1 for that kit).

Also, that RI convention looks promising too- if I'm back from my honeymoon I'll be there as well. Marshall's in Natick had 3 vintage-boxed b-wings tonight, $16.99 each. Crazy! I already have one so I passed on it, but that price is unbeatable. No k-mart exclusive sticker on the box. I bought the 2 Crimson Hiss that we're there and left the black dragons. TJmaxx had no joes except a 12" swat trooper, and TRU surprisingly had a whole case of retaliation wave 1 figures, minus the joe troopers and 1 red ninja. Very interesting indeed.

I'm looking for these 2 Star Wars Target Exclusive 3-packs. PM me if you see them. They're $25 each so if your comfortable grabbing them, that's great. Otherwise, all I ask is for a heads up.

Hey man those packs were in the warwick mall target. I saw them on my break. As of last night they had a few of them. I'm still looking for the Avengers Black Widow, its the only thing I'm trying to find currently.

Saw the new (reasonably new?) episode 1 figures at Stop & Shop today, The Padme is a great looking sculpt, head is accurate and clothing is a great rich plum color. I also saw those new limited articulation 3-packs at TRU the other day, I didn't look too closely at the Episode 1 set but I did like the Bespin set, and you were right Beam- that Luke is actually very decent looking and would be amazing if not for the kenner-style tooling. Fett and Vader also looked pretty good and were well-detailed with glossy paint, and I really liked the movie-inspired painting on the packaging, reminded me a lot of the amazing McQuarrie-esque artwork that I enjoy so much that used to be all over the Galoob Micro Machines/Action Fleet toys of the late 90s. The worst part about the set was the price. $28.99 for 3 unarticulated figures? Seriously? Get the F outta here. Anyway, I'll stop the Star Wars talk here so Fast Draw doesn't get too mad at me ;).

No luck finding Black Widow. I see a bunch of Skrulls so someone is getting to them first. Quote:

Customizers are excited by the Fett head in that pack. It's one of the best they've put out. To bad it's in an overpriced pack with a horrible body. I can take limited articulation, but Fett's legs are spread like a $5 hooker and his upper body is on steriods. Last edited by BEAM; 08-02-2012 at 03:00 PM.. |

I will be looking for these as well in a few weeks...

Those look awesome, I had no idea they were coming out- Are Snaggletooth, Gonk and the Death Star Droid new tooling? The Tusken Raider looks like the same DTF Walmart figure (which is really cool). Any of the others use new parts? Fett looks different. Every time I'd see those 3-packs in the past, some fool had repacked one if not all of the figures, and very poorly at that.
