And also note, this set can work with most of your average sized 6 inch figures
Like here you can see the ML Ult. Cap and the barn set being used as a cycle storage shed with the ML Logan Cycle in it The set's pretty spacious, both Cap and the cycle can fit in there And unlike the door on the other side of the barn which is two pieces, this one's a single piece Also unlike the 2 piece door, this one opens from the top down Last edited by DarkParsifal; 06-22-2012 at 05:35 PM.. |

I think if you look past the paint, you've got something there.

Yeah, it's definitely in need of a little custom work. Like a new paint job, and I need to unscrew that handle piece on the top.

Also, here's another piece. This is a castle playset made by Fisher price in the 90's.
Here's an 80's Alley Viper getting ready to fire on intruders using the surprise attack flip down panel of the castle. Sorry, that's the only loose Joe I could find for size compare, as I'm a 1:12 scale collector Here he is up close |

With a nice paint job, that castle could really work!

Here it is from the side, notice how there's the foot and hand holes which allow your figure to scale the side of the castle all the way to the top. Also check out all the windows, perfect lookouts for guards to aim out of
Here's the top of it And here you can see how the wood panels of the battlements swing open. The one on the right leads down to the prisoner holding area, the left one leads down into the rooms of the castle And what I did here is take the hinged panel from the right battlement and placed into the left battlement, thus making a nice little covered area lookout or perch for snipers |

Reminds me a lot of the old Fisher Price one everyone had when I was a kid except for me.

And here's the last two pics, of the castle inside
Here's a close up of the battlement with the pop out sneak attack deck on the second floor. Notice underneath it, the small pit on the first floor. Might make a nice cobra pit On final note, this is a decent little set. I saw one loose go for like $40 shipped on ebay a few weeks back. Which is not a bad price considering all the features like the flip down cannon, the opening/closing holding cell, the flip down front door, the footholes on both sides of the castle. The only issue I can find is the flip down front door, after repeated use it one close up all the way. But if you find the lever for the door inside the castle and leverage something big enough under it, it will keep the door from falling down on you. Also note the height clearance for the front door way is just barely big enough for 3.75" figures as it is. Grune could not fit through it withough bending over, and even Iron Man had to crouch a little. Of course, one easy fixe is to trim down or remove the spikes above the doorway to allow more head rom clearance. I don't think it can even begin to replace the Prince Caspian playset as a Castle Destro, but it could be used as some other miscellanous castle base for your collection... Maybe for your MU Dr. Doom; or for those of you awaiting the SDCC 2012 MU Masters of evil box set, this could work potentially as a Baron von Zemo castle. Cool, yeah, I agree it needs a good paint job to make it look less, cartoony, or less, "kiddy toy-ish"

Yeah, I never had much fisher price stuff either. Actually, this is the only fisher price stuff I ever got, and I just barely ended up getting this. I remember when I was little, and one Sunday when they announced they were closing down the Kmart nearby, my Grandma had some kind of coupon she clipped out of the paper for it, and we went down and picked it up for almost next to nothing using her coupon plus the store closing discounts.
