Hey all, I am slowly but surely getting back to my customs projects.
Some of you may recall the plane in this thread: http://www.hisstank.com/forum/g-i-jo...tler-ii-2.html Well I finally finished it. It is on its way to its new home. Here is the filecard data I wrote for the new squadron, Sea Scorpions: The COBRA NAVY squadron CFB-Z04 “Sea Scorpions” is one of the nastiest on board the carrier Tyranny Rising! Led by a core group of eight hard partying big wave surfers with pilot’s licenses (with over 86,000 hours of combined flight time), these officers are winged death. No squadron has taken higher risks and their reputation for reckless and daring attack maneuvers has made them the most feared in the world, even giving elite G.I. Joe armored brigades an uneasy feeling. Note: The brotherhood of pilots in this squadron are confirmed killers. New members receive planes where the squadron markings on the vertical stabilizers are bloodless. After their first confirmed kill they are considered blooded by the squadron’s eight senior officers. Red paint is then applied over the insignia’s scorpion stings as well as the addition of two red horizontal stripes. Word of caution to ‘Joe tankers; a “bloodless” nugget Sea Scorpion pilot is the most dangerous thing in the sky, he will get you and may even kill himself in the process! |

http://www.hisstank.com/forum/g-i-jo...r-variant.html Thankyou! Thanks as well! Thankyou! My friend named the squadron "Sea Scorpions" and that is what I was able to come up with... Thanks! Afraid it's too late for more pics though...she's in a box on the way to Kentucky... Quote:
I used Krylon Fusion Camouflage Ultra Flat Khaki (4291) to base coat the plane after priming. It is available at Walmart. The original Fusion Khaki I had been using I think went out of production, I was getting it at Michael's. I also used Testors Model Master enamels as well. Sand (ANA 616) was used for the underside of the planes (this one and the sister plane) and RAF Middlestone (ANA 615) and Dark Earth (ANA 617) were used to camo the topsides of both planes as well. For the bombs I used Krylon Fusion Camouflage Ultra Flat Olive (4293) and Krylon Fusion Gloss White, both available at Walmart. Thanks! It was a real battle to get the plane done. |
