Kingstowne Wal-Mart in Springfield, VA, as of about 7:20 PM tonight had every 30th anniversary figure yet released on the nearly-overflowing pegs. Even after I was done, there was at least 5 or 6 Cobra Troopers, 2 Steel Brigade, 3 Vipers, and 4 Hazard-Vipers left, as well as tons of every individual characters except Stalker (Only one of him).

I was thinking..I know you can see smoke..just shush.
What do you guys think about buying up the leftover joes that no one seems to be buying and then returning them to one store so that those other 3 or 4 stores get new stuff in? My opinion is it might be a great way to get to the new stuff but it does seem like the wrong thing to do morally. |

My opinion is it might be a great way to get to the new stuff but it does seem like the wrong thing to do morally. Side note though, as someone who spent a long time in retail and knows how the systems work: if you're going to do it, be sure you time it right, when a new wave has been sighted in the chain you want to do the product shifting. For example, right now Target is crammed full of Renegades stuff, and the next waves haven't been sighted anywhere yet, so if someone were to buy up the last 5 renegades in one store and return them to another, that store would just get in new renegades, so there's no point. Once the new wave shows up at a particular chain (even if its in California) if they don't make it to ours in a week or two *then* its time to act. 90% of things that appear to be "peg warming" do in fact sell before the next waves come, Hasbro does know their products/timelines fairly well. I did it with about 30 Arctic Destros from the Manassas/Fairfax area (5-6 from each of 5 or 6 Targets) earlier in the year, when the last of the PoC waves (viper, etc) showed up and it worked really well. Another side note: Apparently every toy company BUT hasbro buys their pegwarmers back after 4-5 waves. I know Mattel does it, and I'm sure others do too. It seems like with something like Arctic Destro it makes sense to do it, when they're on the pegs for 1 year or more, but who knows how Hasbro works... Tru in Winchester has 4 pegs full of joes.
2 or 3 cobra vipers, 2 or 3 cobra troopers, 4 stalkers, 7 iron grens, 5 hazard vipers, and the rest are renegades. |

Does anyone have any ROC Jungle Ripcord figures they would be willing to sell me?
Does anybody ever see them at any of the discount stores? Any help would be much appreciated, guys. Thanks.
