I just found me a movie masters Joker at walmart this weekend and im wondering what series its from? I heard of a few paint and package variations from series 1 to series 2. I checked on ebay and all i found was "green collar" and "gray collar" also the packaging comes with or without holes.
Anyways, mine has a gray collar holes on the side of the packaging. Is this from series 1 or 2? Also, is there a difference in values between series 1 and 2? |

We saw one a few days ago at walmart, dont remember anything about the collar, but what I did notice was that the figure on the back of the card looks way better thank the figure in the package...not even close.

As far as I know, other than the holes and the collar variations (which I had never heard of) there are no variations.
I think the first series had no holes and the second series got the holes put in. As far as what's rare, I think they both are but I would guess as always that series one would be more rare than series 2. Mine had holes and a grey vollar btw.

I -LIKED- the figure, I didn't think he was half bad, was better then that 'fisher-price wannabe badass but could be beaten up by wooden 'little people' version we did end up getting. Probably never going to see him again, just Batmans clogging the shelves nobody wants in a zillion different frilly costumes.

when they first came out in April the package didnt have holes. My guess is that collectors would rather have the first run, therefore the one without holes (wave 1) might be a bit more valuable.
I was lucky enough ro find a wave 1 at walmart the other night. I guess they had the bow in their warehouse because it had a date of 4-16-08 |

I know nothing about different colored collars
But I do know that the first series came out with no holes in the bubbles and on the back bottom corners there were assortment numbers printed on the card. Then the 2nd versions came out with holes on the sides of the bubbles and the assortment numbers had black stickers over them. Now, there are ones out with no holes on the bubbles and new assortment number stickers on the back. From what I've heard, the Joker never should have gone up in price since it was never recalled. Apparently the Joker Thug was the one recalled, but either all the figures, or just the Thugs and Jokers had the same assortment/item numbers so everything was labeled as recalled. (This is only what I've heard from other collectors, as for the packaging variations, that's just what I've seen in stores) |

The ones that got sent back are being shipping again or they have packaging without holes that are being produced still because I've seen batman and jokers that have been both packaging variants.
