early to mid 80's was the best! toys aisles at Toys R Us were filled with G.I.Joe, He-Man, Thundercats, and Transformers! And there was plenty to go around! I mentioned my first figure was Breaker in 1983 but my first vehicle was Mobat Tank when I had the chicken pox when I was 6, best thing about getting chicken pox!

Since 82 until around 87/8. Got 'too old' around the same time that the figures started getting a bit too odd for me anyway. Always kept my eye on the line and almost fell back during the rereleases in 97, but had no funds to do so. (Star Wars...) Watched the line progress (digress?) through the Venom Vs Valor line. Really got tempted by the comic 3 packs a few years backs (really wanted those in the heyday). Got even more tempted by the vintage throwback DTC type single carded figures... but the 25th really did it. Figures were finally updated to a more modern style and really well done.
...and now here we are. |

I got my first Joe (Vamp w/ Clutch) in '84. Though I enjoy the 25th, nothing comes close to RAH!

1983 or 1984 when I started.
So about 25 years for me, though I lost interest in the late eighties and did not get back into them until around 7 years ago. The modern era line is the greatest thing since sliced bread in my opinion. (would be even better if we could get a Recondo!!) Sab |

I got my first Joe when i was 2. That was in 1967.
I have most of the 60's and 70's joes and adventuretram figures and equipment. I also have about 85% of the RAH figures and vehicles from the 80's (still have my USS Flagg ) Very little of the later figures and vehicles (95-2005). Love the 25th aneversary figures and vehicles. Looking forward to the movies toys both 12" and 3 3/4". I want more, lots more. |
