I'd like to see HBO adapt IDW's Cobra series. It would be awesome with oppressive overtones, almost like that of a horror series.
Of course, it would probably only be viewed by about 1000 people and probably end the careers of several TV executives, so I won't hold my breath in anticipation. |

i have an idea for a smallville like batman show. it would take place after the death of his parents and before he becomes batman. the first season would be a much younger bruce wayne and he would start to develope the skills he will need to become batman(even though he hasn't figured out he will be batman). then in season two you could have bruce in high school or college but keep the actor from the first season for flashbacks of his training. which would be used during each episode to show some skill that is important to the episode. it could be film almost entirely in the usa almost every state has a china town, greek town, mexican town type place. and you would be able to all the rogue villians before the become villians and have them help him to turn him into there own worst knightmare. the one i would like to see is tom(i think that is his name) his best friend growning up who i think would take kind of a lex luther role like in smallville but later on becomes hush. just an idea i think i would call it gotham knight Last edited by jmc2915; 07-08-2011 at 11:46 PM.. |

If aimed at an older audience, then yes I think it could work. The key is to not dumb it down.

mine is about a group of kid/teen who are completely unaware of what cobra is and as the series goes on the curtain that is cobra slowly starts to open. i would have joe team charaters make cameos like in the comics, but also try to stay true to those issues but from a kids point of view. i think it would more like a horror or thriller. cobra commander would a used car salesman and dr. mindbender would be a dentist and the noks could be a local biker gang. i don't really know the back stories but i think it is a really cool idea. i remember a movie with john travolta were he get hired by a group of russians to open a club but the town is modeled after the 1950's america even though the actual time period is the 1980's. the movie was horrible but the idea i think was solid. i think the russian actually did something like that were during the cold war or maybe earlier where they would have town in the usa which was an actually russian front but made to look like a typical american town. anyways it would be just like that except the end of the series they would find out they are actually on cobra island. I'd watch an adaptation of America's Elite. Especially with a good portion of focus on the Phoenix Guard.
Like an HBO miniseries or something. |

OK, I'm just throwing this out there. But there are tons of shows where the good guys find and squash the bad guys. What if there was a show that focused on the life and activities of a bad guy? Of course, I think it would be kind of cool if they did a show on Firefly, and showed how he carried out mercenary missions, whether it was hacking something or planting explosives somewhere. It could show how he's just a half-step ahead of the law. IDK. I think it'd be cool.

I see your point, but I believe those mentally unstable nut jobs don't need ideas from anyone. They do a good enough job coming up with their own ideas. All these killings that you see in the world today didn't come about because they started showing it on TV. These mentally unstable nut jobs have been doing it since the beginning of time. Hence the Cain and Abel story(for all the Bible thumpers out there).
