This from the Q&A over at the Terror Drome:
"Q3 — Is there any chance you could tell us the method of re-sculpting the Skystriker for the "30th Anniversary"? A3 — The Skystriker story is interesting - to me at least! In the early stage of the development, we purchased several vintage Skystrikers and took them apart to find the best preserved parts. It was a lot like putting together a dinosaur bone exhibit for a museum. Once we had a full set of nice parts, these were sent to a model shop where they were used as a basis for a full rework in a 3D modeling program. At this stage the design was modified to allow the nose and wings to detach for the box-size, and the new cockpit was added to accommodate the larger modern-era figure" I think this is an amazing story, but what's more, it gives us reason/hope to believe we can/will see other remakes because now they've show the method and extent to which they will go to make it happen. Very exciting! |

Yes!!! This is very exciting information. Hopefully we will see other larger scale vehicles that we are all use to. I'm shooting for a Tomahawk.
