I agree with the above poster about the switch. I am now getting a Flash and Major Bludd in exchange for a Wild Bill and Torpedo - which I already have on 25th cards and the non-25th cards are hanging on pegs everywhere.
I have no problem with the switch.

"...we are limiting the number of preorders accepted on all future waves so this situation can be avoided in the future." - BBTS

So, for the last 4 waves Hasbro has been promising to increase production numbers to satisfy collectors, but the first wave where the numbers are supposed to be increased they "are not producing any extra product and...are keeping allocation very tight on these items".
Does there seem to be a contradiction there? Doesn't Hasbro realize that there is a high demand for these items, and it would be in their best interests to produce a higher volume as they promised? One local (Calgary) store ordered 60 cases of Wave 9 and got 4 in. They couldn't even fill all the orders they had for holds, and now I'm worried that the other 56 expected this week won't be arriving because of Hasbro's "tight allocation" (Who cares about a city of 1.3 million potential customers anyways?). Does anyone else feel disgusted by this news? |

Hasbro hasn't stated they've stopped making Wave 9 just that their stopping the sale of them to BBTS. And with BBTS' prices I'm not surprised why. Don't get me BBTS has come through for me on a couple of occassians but their prices, especially for single card figures is ridiculous. Personally I think it's better that Hasbro concentrates on making more product available to their own online shop, HTS. I've never been dissapointed with their service, their prices are always better then in some stores, and you can always be sure that there's some discount code floating around for 10% off and/or free shipping.
I mean I just put in a pre-order for 30 B.A.T.s and 30 Snow Serpents from HTS this past week, while BBTS is selling those figures for $10 bucks a pop. |

Maybe those cases were in the deluge of W9 to hit stores the past week & a half. Who is to say Hasbro didn't just sell the cases to retail instead of BBTS.

Well, it appears production is up in my area. The last 2 weeks I have seen a ton of wave 9 at Target & Wal-Mart. Just this past weekend, I hit 1 Target(4 stores in my area) and 3 WM's(have 6 stores in my area) and found at least 3 cases of wave 9 at all the stores, plenty of BAT's & Serpents, which I sold here on the "Tank" at cost, to help out fellow "Tanker's'.
