Its definitely a strange way to approach a cartoon line of figures. I understood the year wait before figuresto establish a fan base. I also would understand a small first release. Like 5 figures and maybe two smaller vehicles. I mean if this is to be the Joe's they want to make popular I would hope they deserve their own line however small. I look at the most recent example, generator Rex. Its been on for about a year and just now has a small toy line. I don't know. I hope they don't pull a resolute with this one. I can definitely wait on the next movie also. Enjoying renegades 100 times more than roc.

The hub and renegades by all accounts is doing fine ratings wise. The hub is doing very well in the demographic they are aiming for. Renegades had strong ratings during the first three weeks but I can't find any info on ratings at all for the hub now.the hub isn't going anywhere that's for sure.

Which means those big pushes will probably be the last you see of the line going by prior Mattel efforts.

It's also worth noting that the margin for success on a cable networks' ratings are much lower than a broadcast network.
To put it another way, The folks running the Hub know that they're not a "basic" cable offering with alot of (most? all?) providers, and tailor their expectations accordingly. |
