Now that they may be easy to find, I'm not sure I want them anymore.

A carded sample has never surfaced. And nothing has ever shown up at a discount store that hasn't first surfaced MIB or MOC. These Target sets actually showed up MIB before they showed up loose through China. Packed and ready to go. CS Scarlett, as far as anyone knows, never made it that far into production. Anything's possible, obviously. But with no surfaced carded samples, I doubt it.
I know I am stocked with this release......if I can find a set. I got lucky with the black HISS so maybe I will get lucky again. This does make me wonder about the canceled ROC wave 3 vehicles. |

I hear ya. I've come to the conclusion that good things come to those that wait. I've never "needed" a toy. If I find something I like at retail, I'll pay it. If it never gets released around me, so be it. Sometimes the stuff hits the discount stores around here, sometimes it doesn't. If people are cool enough to hook me up once they hit the discount stores, I'm happy. Or with the case of the Extreme Environment sets I just waited til Small Joes blew out both sets together. I can't see paying overly inflated prices for something, but that's just me. I'm not what you'd really call a "collector". I just like the toys and play with them with my kids.

I love when people on ebay say "I don't really know what these are" or "I'm not quite sure what the deal is with these"... not exactly a selling point in my opinion. If you're gonna put a hefty price tag on something... the last thing you want to do is sound like you have absolutely no idea what you're selling. "I found this on the ground today. Not sure what it is. Bid with confidence."
right, you have no idea what they are, and just happened to buy some random toys at a discount store and randomly mark them up to $400, but didn't buy and do the same for all the other crap Ross has. only a real f'ing idiot could be so stupid as to think someone would be so stupid to believe such nonsense. fortunately for scalpers, evolution has protected stupid people from knowing how stupid they they are, it's an evolved defense mechanism that prevents idiots from falling into depression at the reality of their mental shortcomings and wrapping their mouths around their exhaust pipes. |
