It doesn't have to be a fight. It can be a conversation that has nothing to do with the law. Also, it doesn't have to be a conversation unless you respond to it. So if I'm a troll, then it's as easy as not responding. |

Wouldn't that same theory apply to you as well? You don't have to respond either but you do because you keep trying make a "conversation" out of it. The bottom line is this thread isn't a debate or conversation thread...or to talk about whether you think more than 1 gun is necessary! The thread is strictly for showing off your gun collection or talking about what guns you like most and for what reasons. If you are not contributing to that topic then no matter how you spin it....you are indeed trolling! So why don't YOU do the community a favor and report yourself!

I've never posted in this thread because I don't own a gun and have no reason to post here although I can still read and enjoy the conversation. But since you can't take that hint that you don't need to go around trolling other people's threads when you have nothing to contribute to the intent of the thread, people have to come into the thread and troll the troller for excessive trolling. |

Well back on subject. My grandfather gave me his fathers pistol from WW1 I believe. It's a model 1917 .45. Very nice piece for it's age. It even has the original issued US army holster for it. It has two half moon clips to hold ammo. I keep them close for the small chance there is an unwanted visitor in the middle of the night. My area isn't bad but there are a few peeps that think they are hard. My homie has an armory. He spends the majority of his loot on his second amendment.
I'm going to take it to a gunsmith next week just to make sure it's still in good shape. I have been jonesin' to get that thang out to try it out. |

I have never suggested changing the law. I have argued the idea that owning more than one gun and pretending they're for protection is unrealistic. I fully agree that on a ranch or farm the need for multiple guns exist. I would understand the 'gun as a tool' argument in those cases. But, as you pointed out, most people don't live under these circumstances.
It doesn't have to be a fight. It can be a conversation that has nothing to do with the law. Also, it doesn't have to be a conversation unless you respond to it. So if I'm a troll, then it's as easy as not responding. I own 3 guns the 1st is my 20 guage mossberg pump. I got it when i was 18 because thats the only thing (rifles/shotguns) you can have in california at 18. I was alot smaller in frame then i am now and didnt think i could handle a 12 guage. i still have it mainly because since its a 20 guage there is no secondary market as far as a resell so id rather keep it then take the loss i would selling it. At the time i lived in sacramento in the ghetto and had to many close calls and owning one made me feel safer. First thing i did was pull the plug out so it held all 6? shells. my second is my 9mm rugar p95. I got it when i turned 21 and passed the test to own one. I lived in a slightly better neighborhood but its (the gun)smaller and easier to pull incase of a home invasion and i needed it. thus its justified. the 3rd is a taurus 357 magnum revolver. this i inherited. it sits in the safe and ive only taken it out a time or two. i have it because again it was inherited and will be passed down to my son when he gets of age. i plan to pick up another hand gun down the line. something small to take with me when i go fishing. probobly a 22. just something to take care of snakes or the occasional meth head that may try to start something. After the instance about a year ago i have decided it would be smart (you know you live in the ghetto when you are trying to fish and are getting sized up my meth heads. seriously it happend and i wasnt armed and felt very insecure). I still have to take the class to get my CCW before i can do that. i will get to it soon enough. reason why i dont want to use my p95 to fish is for one its too big to holster comforttably when im climbing up and down inbankments (i shore fish not on a boat) and 2 if i lost it or i fell and it broke id be pissed because i like that gun alot. so point i am trying to make is there are valid reasons to own more then one gun in the city.
