I realize that most of the country is hip to micro brews by now but living here I have been spoiled for many years. What I love most is having different beers for different times of the year. Light, crisp ales for the summer dark, rich, malty stouts or porters for the winter.

You guys drink while you paint?
Reason I ask is....I find it keeps me going and makes my hand steadier when detailing. Literally....when I know I got very small detailing to do...one of the tools I need...is beer. Flint...who is a member here, can testify to this...he seen me drink and paint. It does make my hand steadier for the brush work.

At night after I leave the bar after having a few I find that knowing that I have some beer sin me makes me focus more on driving than ussauly( I have a clean driving record btw) I have a friend that believed this as well. |

I'll agree with Alyosha. I love bourbon, but she can hurt you fierce. Gin's not too bad, though, but you can tell cheap gin from decent gin more than any other liquor. Bombay Sapphire = good. Gordons = blargh. Oddly, I prefer Beam Black over Maker's and Basil Hayden's, since I mix with diet coke mostly. Maker's or JD Single Barrel with ginger ale is good lovin', too.
The lady likes chardonnay, I like lambrusco and a mix of reds. Yellow Tail has a shiraz/merlot that we enjoy. Found a white from Banrock Station at WM for $5 that is 9 everywhere else, and it is nice. It is hard finding a white lambrusco, though, only know of one place in town that has it. Btw, wine does not have to be expensive to be enjoyable. I'll take that white lambruso at $6 over most $20 bottles I have had any day. |
