Alright guys, now is as good a time as any to make the announcement
The last 8 months as your Cobra in Charge has been a blast. But it's time for me to buckle down and get busy again with real life. I can no longer perform at the ability you guys need therefore I need to step down. I tried getting someone to step up for the last three months so I could do a decent turnover but no one would do it. If you guys don't pick a leader by the next game, you won't have one this time. It's starting to impact my marraige now as well as work. You guys are a great bunch and I know you understand. I will still log in and be as helpful as possible in regards to recruiting. I might even be able to play again eventually. But leading is officially out of the question. I will do anything I can to answer questions, mentor and tutor my replacement. Ken, Nickvree, Cobralalalala! are very helpful too. Heck even Darth Henning had a couple of good moments. I will finish out the game... and after that, I'm going to have to pass on my keys to the executive bathroom and start sweeping the floors again with Dustycarlisle!!! As a gift I leave a little ditty to comemorate this moment from my all time favorite band.... EXTREME!!! /salute

I understand your reasons 100%. Trust me, as a guy doing the same job I get it. We're a select club and I don't think a lot of people see how much time and effort goes into planning and observing a 24 hour game that last for a week or more.
You've done an incredible job and you've been an inspiration to me man. Seriously seeing how far this team has come under your leadership and what you have brought back is nothing short of amazing. As a player, thanks for keeping it fun and light man! As a leader thanks for being one hell of fucking boss, one that I could learn from and really come to respect. Well done brother! And may I suggest taking a game off before playing again, it definitely helped me kind of step away from things... |

Thanks CG, Sorry for leaving you on Soldier duty for so long. But you have to have an anchor on that team to have a chance in hell. You and CG76 were those guys and I really appreciate the fact that you never asked to be moved to a more 'glamorous role' You guys are definitely 'Team First' Cobra's and I love you for it. Quote:

I've been ripping you off for ideas for months Ken. No shame in my game! (and reading The Bible... espc. Proverbs, Sun Tzu, Machivelli, Dale Carnegi, and Theodore Roosevelt's Biography. He was all about keeping leadership on a personal level.) Quote:
Well said Kneroh. As one of the other select few that completely understands how being a leader of this game affects your life, I salute you for doing it for so long, and being successful at it. Great job NV!

You did a kickass job as leader NV. Sorry to see you step down. I hope you will still stick around as one of us lowly Vipers
BTW, sorry about missing the midnight reset. It was a pretty craptastic day and had to hit the sack early. I just posted my heal though, |

PP if anyone deserves a night off once in awhile its you dude. You and AVAC have posted Midnight every night pretty much since I took this job as healers. You'll never hear a bad word out of my mouth about either of you.
And you know me, as long as you get the post in before reset, your doing the job. |

Alright Cobra!!!!
You got 2 kills today. That is outstanding. We have fought hard and are in the perfect position to do something great. Now its up to us to get it done. Cobra Dreadwind is back tonight, he has overcome his bout of the flu to come get some I.G. Blood. Head over to his profile page and welcome him back all formal like. Show our Cobra brother some love. |

Hey Night Viper I got your PM! Sorry for my absence the last couple days, had been busy with work and fiancee. But I know even these aren't strong-enough reasons to be away for so long. I just didn't know our battle against the Joes are so desperate we cannot afford to lose individuals. Always thought Cobras got the upper hand, guess I was mistaken.
I just want to give a sincere apology to all my Cobra comrades and Night Viper for going under the rader so long on such critical times. I am sorry! I actually do have the time to log on often, but before it was mainly for getting info off the toys section, now I will devote more time here on the battle as well! So hope I can be allowed back on the roster for next month's battle, and allow me a chance to wreck havoc in the Joe lines! And Night Viper, really disappointed to know that you are departing soon, really enjoyed PMing you these days for instructions and your warm welcome to the board. Where I am now it's also hard for me to meet any Joe fans, my fiancee is the only person around me who just became interested (because of me of course) so I know what it feels like to leave here and I hope to have you and others as friends for the future. GI Joe had been my favorite since I was 8 and it will always be, and letting you and other Cobras down ain't cool, so I just want to say again I am truly sorry and hope to keep in touch with you on Joe matters. Lastly, I would just like to know... Did we win this month's battle? |

What some newbies don't realize about this game is that it does take a little time, requires you to log in each day, read your PM, and post a correct hit in the game thread. For some of us that live on the Tank, it's not a big deal, but someone that is new to the forums and has only checked them occasionally.... |
