He's not a Marine. It's okay.

When I first saw the 30 round magazine I was like why in the hell does a 30 round mag come with a SAW. I personaly like the M16/M4(or what ever it is) better. I think the figure is awesome and is a huge improvement over the best ROC Dukes and some of the 25th Dukes. How do you guys feel about the untucked/untied pants legs? I have no problem with it since I've actually seen soldiers wearing there pant like this on show on the Military channel and the Discovery channel.

I know right now we're big on the US AFSOCOM, Special Tactics Squadrons/Teams (ie: pj's/cct/sowt/tac parties). I know some of us want to keep the Pathfinders in Army, but the book i read "US AIR FORCE SPECIAL OPS" by Fred Pushies C2000. The chapter titled origins of the AFSOCOM claims, that this unit came from the Pathfinders from the US Army in WWII.
Pathfinder, on his 2001 & 2004 filecard for his PMS: all weather assault specialist, SMS: Forward Observer, Recon. So is it too much of a stretch to make Pathfinder a Special Ops Weather Technician? So in my Joe-Force (with female soldiers) The STS pair up with the Sky Patrol to make up an A Team. Slipstream - Combat Rescue Officer Pathfinder - Weather Technician Barrel Roll - CCT Sniper Ripcord - CCT Demolitions Bombshell - CCT RTO Stretcher - PJ Sky Dive - 180A Altitude - 18Z Drop Zone - 18B Static Line - 18C Rigger (Sgt Six) -18D [Airborne II] Airwave - 18E Weather Tech is something the Joes are lacking. I'm thinking of making up a couple of "early insertion" teams that would get dropped in and get the lay of the land, call in drop coordinates, scout/recon, all that kind of stuff. Weather Techs, Combat Controllers would be part of those.

Why do you blouse trousers? This may be a noobie questtion but I always wondered this and have never heard a reason. Well I don't remember ever hearing a reason, so I could have heard the reason and just forgot it.

Keeps things from crawling up your pants. I'm sure there are other reasons.

It's tradition. A lot of it is about polishing boots and showing them off. In the field/combat, obviously it can help with things in/out of the pants. However, in jungle environments and in very hot climates, the Army often tells the troops to "unblouse" their pants from their boots to help regulate body temperature.

Didn't the blousing of pants start with the Airborne troops from WW II? Oh, and Loose, Barrel Roll isn't listed in the DDP Battle Files, as it came out a year or 2 before the figure did.

Well, I think it's a natural extension of the "spats" the soldiers used to wear. Once they switched to boots, the "tucked in" look just stayed around. I think it's considered a more neat and clean appearance. As for the idea that it keeps things from climbing in or out of the pants - that's not always the case. A lot of the "blousing" that troops do isn't even REAL. They use Blousers which are basically elastic chords that they fold into the leg of their pants to give them a uniformed "bloused" look - not functional at all; it just passes inspection.
